Casemiro (Out)

Why are there three incorrect posts about Casemiro showing up "overweight" on the first page? He never did.

He had a good season last season but it must be stated why the hell are we buying legends of other clubs past their prime for 10x the price the previous club spent on them.

We are always left holding the bag yet again.

The model doesn’t work and the wages are insane. These players no longer have the intensity as they’ve already won everything there is to win regardless of doing much at United. They simply don’t care for us like they did Madrid which is automatically avoid the transfer.

Both will move on and light it up elsewhere whilst we continue to field McTominay and Maguire… lord help us.

Varane definitely. He is injured most of the time. Casemiro only if we can get a younger proper replacement.

He didn't like the mentality in the dressing room, players (Rashford) going out partying after the loss vs City. Said he missed the mentality and dedication Ronaldo showed, from those comments it made me think he'd spoke with Ronaldo and he had been talked into moving to Saudi.

Link?

I would hope so, but after that spectacular car crash of a transfer in the summer, and him signing a new contract, I'm not at all sure.
I hear what you’re saying, but I think it’s clear the player is set on this transfer and if Tuchel wants him too I think it will happen. Bayern might just have to work a bit harder to find an acceptable price for Fulham. ;)

The only "source" you'll find for those alleged comments is a couple of Real Madrid-affiliated Twitter and Facebook accounts, citing an interview supposedly given to some outlet called "Sportek" that doesn't seem to exist. It hasn't been reported anywhere else, and you know the media would be all over something as juicy as that were it true. Complete BS dreamed up by some deranged Ronaldo fanboy.

Yeah suspected as much. I tried googling but found nothing.

Damning if true

This batch of players is beyond saving.

What is the source of this? I understand Casemiro not liking the lack of winning mentality in the team, but it's not like Casemiro has been his best self ever since injury last season. And he's been pretty horrible this season. Regardless, I am having hard time believing Casemiro commenting on Rashford "partying after loss"

That whole incident was blown out of fecking proportions by media that use us as a punching bag. I am not a huge fan of Rashford at all, but to be fair - he wasn't "partying after a loss", it was just a private event for his birthday that was pre-planned regardless of win or loss.

What was he supposed to do? Cancel because of loss? Not have a private event for his birthday? Of ALL THINGS we can be mad at Rashford for, picking this one not-even-an-incident is petty and I refuse to do it. I doubt Casemiro was irked by that specifically, either.

I don't think we will be able or willing to pull off another 80+ m € deal so soon :nervous:

I'm genuinely amazed by the lack of critical thinking on display here.

It's a Ronaldo fanboy twitter account with 4400 followers people. Use your fecking heads.

I think he has a point to be fair, but that will be lost in all the hoo-haa because he used Ronnie as the example. It’s a really dumb thing to say.
Good thing he didn't say it then. It's a completely made up quote. Literal fake news.

Cristiano Ronaldo (in)famously threw a birthday party hours after Real Madrid lost 0-4 to Atletico Madrid.

We'll sell him and replace him with the weghorst equivalent in midfield

If we could bring Palhinha and Antonio Silva or Diomamde in as replacements then I’d be fine with moving Casemiro and Varane on, if the Saudis offered £70 million for the pair we should snap their arm off as that would also be £650K a week of the wage bill.

If his head is not with United anymore, what's the point of keeping him??

You won't get too much of a transfer fee for Casemiro if he wants the Saudi move. A Saudi club knowing that Casemiro isn't wanted isn't going to bid huge amounts. Accept whatever reasonable fee comes in and get the wages out of the club.

Was totally against his signing but he won me over last season. You could see he brought more to the team than just a DM but this season really doesn’t seem to have started for him. not fit, out of form banned, he’s just never got going.
in someways watching him do feel sorry for him as he at times last season was just left in midfield solo expected to do the job of 3 players. It’s no surprise he would want out.

It’ll be crap if he leaves under a cloud but if we can take back some of the fee we paid for him then so be it. Hopefully we just start using money more wisely as it’s ridiculous some of the thing we’ve done in the transfer market.

Really hope he stays through to the end of the season otherwise it’s a big loss to us. I’m not absolving Casemiro of any blame, but sometimes, tactically, he’s completely hung out to dry and is asked to do too much, too often.

Use him sparingly and pair him with Amrabat/McTominay and he will be of value.
