BVB (Bottlespielverein Borussia Dortmund) watch | You love to see it | Absolute weapons

All I’ll say is that Bundesliga fans, or at least all those on here, whether Bayern, Dortmund, Leipzig or Leverkusen definitely support each other in European competitions. Aside from the Berlin derby, it feels like all rivalries in Germany are over sanitised and even friendly. Just my opinion.

Now, this bit isn’t an opinion, rather a request, and whether you lot conform to it or not is obviously up to you, but can Bayern, Leverkusen and even certain United fans (:wenger:) please stop telling United fans not to banter Dortmund. It’s weird and annoying. They bantered us, we banter them now. What’s the problem? It’s part of football! Nothing wrong with some banter.

Goodness me, Dortmund as a club is full of disgrace and mocked United on their official social media account. Stop pretending you are a United fan!

Dortmund as a club disrespected United as a club. But that doesn't seem to bother you as much.

Bit of a difference between a little bit of banter on social media to idiots saying Dortmund are a meaningless club.

As for you, @Moiraine, I've one thing to say: feck off. I've been pretending to be a United fan for over 30 years and I plan to continue pretending till I die. Questioning my support just because I insist on respecting Dortmund is revolting and uncalled for.

Calling someones behaviour 'revolting' and 'uncalled for' directly after telling said person to 'feck off' :wenger:

I do wonder why some people are so passionately jumping to Dortmunds defence, especially, when as mentioned, if distilled down, the respective official club behaviour and responses (on social media and in general) is chalk and cheese - with Dortmunds cringe-worthy and bitter jibes in direct contrast to United's low key and professional demeanour.

Bundesliga fans have seen the Batman-esque signal in the sky!

Appropriate time for your meme, @horsechoker .

It's funny how they all descend en masse the instant a negative comment is made regarding one of their precious teams.

There was no banter. There was a club official coming out and talking down to us every other week

Why do fans of the English record champion even care who finishes fifth and sixth in the German feeder league?

The joke is on you and you don't even get it. You are obsessing over Dortmund because your very own yellow press took the piss on United's back this summer. They reported what you wanted to hear and you believed it like naive little children. And in the end, they offered you some scapegoats to channel your frustration and you gratefully accepted. All this hate towards Bundesliga fans stems from some of us trying to reason with you, it's essentially a defensive reaction because somebody tried to burst your precious, comfy little bubble. Funny thing is, it's one sided. You guys care more about the fan base of clubs several magnitudes smaller than yours than they do about your club.

So yeah, enjoy your little echo chamber and don't let reality distract you :) Meanwhile Dortmund and us fight out who'll get the chance to meet you guys in the Europa League after you'll inevitably crash out in the CL group stage again.

A full-blooded meltdown if I ever saw one. I can totally understand your frustrations. You were sold a "we will seriously challenge Bayern for the title" dream before the season and you dared to believe. From title talks to having top 4 hopes shattered in April. I can see why it hurts.

The sooner you guys realise that Dortmund is nothing more than a stepping stone the less painful it would be when things eventually go tits up on the field. Look at the ages of Sancho, Haaland, Reyna, Bellingham etc. These kids don't sign for Dortmund to win things. They sign for their personal development and getting guaranteed game time at a young age. Dortmund's role in football is to nurture these players and then sell them on when they've outgrown the club at the age of 20-21. You should embrace the fact that your club has the ability to attract good young players. Wear it like a badge of honour instead of being insecure about it.

Yes we are very sensible , thank you.
Scrolling through this thread it appears United fans aren’t the only ones a tad too sensitive. So I’ll give you guys a pass. The dynamic around Bundesliga related threads on this page is so weird.

If it was United as a club having a pop back you might be in with a shout to say its petty, small time and unworthy, but as fans of a club its our right and our duty to laugh at the misfortune of others, especially after their club's cheap shot disguised as 'banter'.

The tables have started to turn so its all part of the fun to capitalise now, and in the future when we fail miserably they will be able to do the same...

Having to fully explain banter to people

The other part of this is people wanting to have the I told you so moment after being proved correct. Most of the summer the points Utd fans made were correct.

No one would pay 108 million for him. correct.
He is at maximum value. Correct.
He wants to leave and you will demotivate him. Correct.
Covid is going to hurt football you would be better off taking the 80 million offered. Correct.

I think Utd would be half a dozen points closer to City if we had bought him. We probably wouldn't have bought Amad which might turn out to be a blessing in disguise. We wouldn't have bought DVB.

On the other hand Dortmund will lose far more money if they don't make the champions league next year and Sancho's form is at least part of the reason they are struggling.

There is clearly a chance the transfer would have worked out better for both clubs in the end.

Very fair points I think.

They set an unrealistic price and an unreasonably early date (we were still playing in Europe). They then refused to communicate directly with us and forced us to use intermediaries which would obviously slow things down, and some reports claim that the date that they set was only leaked to the media and was never actually communicated to us properly, leading us to think it wasn't serious.

At the end of the day it's obvious that they didn't want to sell Sancho, but they decided they would pretend to be open to it to make a statement. Then they were very vocal in the media about it all, making themselves out to be big boys refusing to sell their players unless they got exactly what they wanted. Which to some extent is completely true, but they went overboard with it.

Now there are a lot of Utd fans who have been unreasonably toxic about it all ("they are a feeder club and should know their place" etc), but Dortmund did go overboard, so it's not surprising that a lot of Utd fans are finding their struggles rather funny.

You forgot to add the ending of this saga, which resulted in the inception of the "you love to see it" meme. Openly gloating, or their shit version of "bantering" when the English transfer deadline had passed by posting a pic of Sancho with those now immortal words. No one can convince me otherwise that it wasn't meant as a dig against United.

They deserve everything they get - they see themselves as some kind of footballing giant when the only reason they're relevant is because of their football talent hogging/ farming and being Bayern's bitch.

A feeder club who started believing in their own hype. Wings being clipped.

Should shut the annoying twats up for a bit.

I personally don't care about this, but I can understand why some are enjoying seeing the struggle they are having currently.

It is one thing for fans to banter over the internet, but their own officials were acting like cnuts, ours have kept things quiet and ignored all this nonsense, which is how I prefer.

Dortmund are an odd club, they seem to be very pally with Liverpool, but like to get a dig in whenever they can with us. It’s very funny to see them struggle, not quite as funny as the meltdowns in here though.

Is it not allowed to have some harmless laugh? Someone always has to come along and poo poo on it!

Where did they disrespect us? Because they set a deadline on the Sancho transfer which we as usually missed?
No. One instance was the one I posted a few pages back. Mkhitarian.

There was no banter. There was a club official coming out and talking down to us every other week

They were asked questions and they answered them honestly. United supporters desperate for Sancho all summer took offence, and that's their own problem.

If you can't handle the banter stay out of the banter kitchen, as the famous saying goes.
I swear I can't understand how people are getting so worked up about united fans bantering rival clubs on united forum.

Snowflake Dortmund sympathizers please take up your issues on a Dortmund fans forum to avoid offence.
Agreed. Apparently we can take the piss out of every club here and have a laugh. But oh no, steer clear of Dortmund lest some caf dreams be crushed on a United forum.

You'd love to unsee it?

I hope we rip them off in the summer for Sancho, something around 60-70M and announce it with “Jadon Sancho is our new player for the next EPL and Champions league, we’ve agreed with his former club Borussia Dortmund who finished FIFTH in the bundesliga and wish them good luck for next years EUROPA LEAGUE #youlovetoseeit”

Mate, you’re supporting an aspirin..

Exhibit: 2 years back Dortmund trolling united about the position we finished in 2019. Sancho transfer saga happened next year.

They were asked questions and they answered them honestly. United supporters desperate for Sancho all summer took offence, and that's their own problem.
They dont have to answer questions, they arent under oath

Exhibit 2: Dortmund's statement after Mikhitaryan transfer
"BVB has complied after intensive discussions the wish of the Armenian national team member, to the new season to join the English Table Fifth last season, Manchester United.”

Can people who watch them tell us why they suck so much inspite of having 2 players who are top 3 in the world in their respective positions and a bunch of other quality players

This year Schalke, next year Dortmund.
So we can see the famous revierderby again.

I actually find it pretty good that people in charge of football clubs answer questions. I wish ours were like that. When you are owned by fans, I guess it comes more naturally to share information.
