If you are offside and you prevent a defender getting back it should disallowed. In the old days both goals would’ve been disallowed for offside simply by having a player be offside. We’ve improved things by allowing some goals to stand when players who aren’t interfering are in offside positions. But if you block a defender physically getting back into position it should be called offside. I was annoyed at first but Maguires intent was quite clear imo. He definitely grabs at the defender.

Completely agree. Should be at least 2-0 up, arguably could/should have had both of those disallowed goals. It's a closer game in score line than it needs to be or deserves.
