The dinosaur about to survive again
It's been an interesting month of April for Niko Kovac in the Bundesliga. . .
1st April: Bremen (A) LOST 2-1
8th April: Hoffenheim (H) 1-1
12th April: Appointed next manager of Bayern Munich
14th April: Leverkusen (A) LOST 4-1
21st April: Hertha Berlin (H) LOST 3-0
28th April: Bayern Munich (A) LOST 4-1
First they show no respect and then have the nerve to win 4:1. Disgusting!I don't know.. have at least some respect for the teams who are still competing for Europe?
Don’t be ridiculous. Throw away their chance to get into the CL final in order to „show some respect“ to Stuttgart, Gladbach et al.?I don't know.. have at least some respect for the teams who are still competing for Europe?
Yeah, can we still switch to Nagelsmann? It's been an interesting month of April for Niko Kovac in the Bundesliga. . .

If Leverkusen und Leipzig keep competing like they do he will play Champions League next season with Hoffenheim..
I‘m glad you got that off your chest. Thanks for sharing. When I checked the Bundesliga last Frankfurt were in third place. Now that Bayern has taken their manager, in the most important part of the best season they've had in years. They have dropped down to 7th and haven't won in 5.
Lose today 4-1 to Bayern to add more icing to that cake.
Meanwhile Bayern players jump around for joy after their weekly 5-0 or whatever stroll against tragic Bundesliga fodder. In the background that mundane anthem plays each time they take advantage of terrible Bundesliga defending (See their 2nd today). Meanwhile their annual choke against Spanish opposition gets forgottten in the background. Until next week when we repeat the circus.
Just an utterly miserable backwards league.
As a German , It is so severely depressing. I remember the promise in 2012. So so promising.
and poof...
Mainz deservedly beating Leipzig.
Stays the same Hamburg will have to win their final two games to have any chance of surviving in Bundesliga.
Given that this is Hamburg....
They'll probably lose both games three nil with the results later reversed in Hamburgs favour due to some technicality ....
Edit:
Not strictly true btw....if Wolfsburg lose their final 2 matches they will be relegated if Hamburg will one of their final two .... to then enter a play off spot likely to be against H Kiel .... A match I would strongly suggest they would win.
I'm assuming Wolfsburg will beat already relegated Koln at home on last day. If a relegation threatened team could pick a game for final day it would be that fixture so that's a gift.
Easier game than Gladbach at home last day anyway.
Wolfsburg is completely dead, they have no character, no soul, no will, no atmosphere that will drive them forward. I don't think it's safe to assume that they beat anyone. Cologne's relegation stems from their Stöger days, since Ruthenbeck took over they have been doing okay and they strike me as a team that will put some effort into finishing with a bit of dignity.

Sancho is going to make Dortmund a lot of money in 1-3 years.
I wonder for how much City will buy him back.
What the hell has happened to Leipzig in the last month?
Curious stuff happening in Bundesliga regarding Tobias Stieler (ref).
It all started with Nils Petersen seeing two yellow cards in quick succession for complaining about a penalty call in Freiburg's match vs Schalke. Which stirred up some controversy because Freiburg's coach went ballsitic and there were question whether or not Petersen actually registered his first yellow card.
The DFB tribunal then piled on the controversy by making the unusual judgement of overruling the one match ban.
And now almost exactly a month later news is breaking that DFB suspended Stieler for the rest of the season because he refused to give testimony at the aforementioned hearing.
The supposed reason being that Petersen supposedly called him the German equivalent of wanker and that Stieler would've implicated himself in testifying to that because that would've clearly warranted a straight red, thus proving his favouritism towards Petersen who according to the DFB tribunal Stieler is friends and on a first name basis with.
Bundesliga conference should be a great watch today with all games being played today at 15:30 CET.
