Bundesliga 2017/18

Bayern's problems are deeper than a change of manager. Still don't know what's special about Coman. He's had one truly outstanding performance in his career, that was against Juventus in the CL. Otherwise, quick, but runs in a straight line.

I seriously don´t know what Ginter is doing in that position. There is no reasonable explanation why a central defender is in that position, unless he plays for Bayern. Ginter just gives no fecks. He´s like the German Moreno. Always bombing forward with no regard for team shape.

He got moved up to CM when Kramer got injured.

Nothing goes our way tonight. Second time we hit the post, it even pinballed between keeper and post twice.

Just seen the derby score, holy shit. Glad this whining cnut Bosz is getting exposed constantly, they should just sack him.

Man there are no words for how much I hate Drmic. He must be Hecking´s secret son in law.

Not too miffed, wasn't meant to be. Entertaining match, luck was on Gladbach's side and they played well on top of it.

Yeah. Our lineup by the end of the match was also not really fit for a big turnaround, with even complete beginners Friedl and Wriedt on the pitch. (Not that they were bad, mind.)

What are you guys making of this Zakaria chap? Commentator on Fox Sports certainely thinks high of him.

Been a revelation so far from what i've seen of him

Nagelsmann the tactical golden boy outwitted by freakin coach Abel from Braga.

The Nagelsmann Hype is over so far, out of Europe League and DFB cup too. Yeah, they lost Rudy and Süle but especially away they are not good enough.

Well tbf he's young and he will surely evolve with experience but i watched the two Europa League games closely against Braga and i was really unimpressed. In tactical terms and failing to control his players. Must hard to do so when you are so young.

They are suffering because they have to compete on three fronts with a small squad. Now that they have shed the EL they will probably come back stronger after the winter break. They are only trailing a CL spot by four points anyway.

Bisseck (16 years old) is starting for Cologne, Pizarro with 39 the oldest. They have 11 players with injuries at the moment, very hard season for them.

@do.ob yes, three competitions aren't easy for Hoffenhein to be fair. He played many young players (Geiger, Hoogma..), but in the league they often played their best players.

Yes, 4 points isn't far away, because there isn't another top team behind Bayern. Everything is still close.

I think the problem with Hoffenheim is without Rudy and Sule they do not really have really good players. They do not have guys on the level of say Keita, Werner, Bailey, Volland, Goretzka, Hazard, Stindl, etc

They also sold Toljan, are ready to sell Wagner in winter, and have not reinvested nearly as much as they got through the Süle and Toljan sales despite getting into CL quali. Basically, for a team that finished 4th and might want to establish themselves at the top, their squad planning has been a disgrace.

But I suspect the club these days is happy to be midtable while taking overperformance as done by Nagelsmann as a welcome extra, without committing to it.
Obviously, Nagelsmann will surely leave when the first good opportunity arrises, as he should, since the club just isn't ambitious any longer.

Looking forward to see them go back towards struggling against relegation.

They often claimed that it is and was Hopp's plan to have the club sustain itself, so I guess it's true. I think it's silly to call it a disgrace though. People too often forget that most clubs have to live within their means and can't just throw around money just because they had one good season.
