Bundesliga 2017/18

Augsburg (!) is winning against Leipzig (!!)

They did it :wenger:

I don´t see what is so laughable or astounding about this result? Augsburg is a hard away match and Leipzig shows what many thought about them last season and before this one. They have a strong first XI and some outstanding individual players (Keita, Forsberg, Werner) but their depth is really lacking. The covers for the three mentioned represent a sharp drop in quality.

That did not really hold much weight last season because of a fair bit of luck in terms of injuries and the overall low amount of total games, which allowed them to play basically every game for them, but now with midweek football added into the mix it is a very different story. I expect them to drop points failry frequently in the first season half, especially with teams adapting to their style and giving them very little space to use their pace like Augsburg did cleverly today.

Perhaps I'm very childish for finding it funny but somewhere on reddit I read 'Werder Semen'.

I didn't mean "laughable", but astounding? Yes, quite. Before the start of the season I wouldn't have bet a penny on that result. Considering the last few games, Augsburg is on a good run and Leipzig on a meh one, but I expected both to change course. Still do, in one of the next matches then.

Just saw that Emre Mor left Dortmund for Celta Vigo.

What happened to him? Was the hype too much?

A player with a brain the size of a pea combined with delusions of grandeur and bad attitude.

Dortmund obviously just wanted to get rid of him ASAP.

An 18 year old with only one appearance for Wolfsburg's B team is starting at LB for Wolfsburg. Your first team debut against Robben and Bayern could be fun.

That looked like a bullshit call. Bayern playing like crap but get a pretty arguable penalty. 1-0 Lewandowski

This is very poor by both teams actually, Wolfsburg can't pass the ball

2-0 Robben. Lucky goal but it's game over without Bayern even having to break a sweat.

Don't they have VAR in the Bundesliga? That looked like a foul before this goal and the penalty didn't look like a penalty.

I think it was Brad Friedel on commentary who said that Lewandowski never looks at the ball when he takes a pen, he waits for the keeper to move and then hits it.

Incredible confidence to never actually look at the ball.

That's a foul on Lewandowski. But for some reason refs seem to think that keepers can do whatever the feck they want.

Should've taken Ribery off a long time ago. He's doing very little for us tonight.

Bayern 2-2 Wolfsburg.

Bayern keeper really made the come back possible.

Carlo won't last longer than this season. Bayern looks to be on a massive decline for some years now.

Wednesday could turn out to be a really bad day for Carlo. He's not going to get sacked immediately but there will be a lot of pressure on him if they lose against PSG. I wonder, if he gets the sack before christmas, who will be his replacement? If the plan really is Nagelsmann in summer, they won't hire someone like Tuchel and then there's not many good options.

As long as he keeps them in the title race they can wait until the summer to replace him. Only Dortmund can really challenge them this season.

He won't be sacked during the season, because he'll still win the league anyway, but can't see him staying after this season.

He has been a massive disappointment so far.

How Ribery is still starting games is beyond me. He is so damn old. Every game he plays he‘s done after 30 minutes.

I always thought Neuer's inujry would cost Bayern some points in a subtle way. Guess I was wrong. How often have Bayern not converted a 2 goal lead at the AA? Feels like a first.
