Bundesliga 2016/17

That's not a red card, ribery's last movement maybe but passlack was already holding his face there and going to the ground. Still cnut'ish from Ribery.

Unbelievable. BVB buy WC winners from direct league competition just to weaken them.

Stonewall red card. Goes for Passlack's face 3 times in a row. Doesn't matter that he didn't full on hit him every time, there was clear intent behind those movements. If only he was still playing like in the good old days, that'd make it easier to defend him. Without a scintillating performance he's just a cnut.

I'd hardly say to weaken them. Gotze and Schurle were not amazing at all last season. Gotze dont think even made 20 appearances for Bayern.

Of course he is going down earlier. He was hit accidently the first time. The red card offense was swinging his elbow at the height where Passlack´s face would have been normally. It does not matter if he hits him, even the attempt is a stonewall red.

Vidal is too good, but he cant keep doing all the defensive and offensive job by himself.

Thiago and Alonso really crap today.

Sanches will help a lot i guess. Also Martinez may return to the midfield with Boateng and Hummels beeing starters at CB for sure.

I wouldn't give him a red card if the first two movements were isolated and the third didn't happen, but you're right. There is definitely intent in his third movement so it doesn't really matter if he actually hits.

Oh, Boateng was voted Bundesliga Player of the Season btw.

Sharp display from Dortmund. Tuchel fielded all the guys who participated in the pre-season from day 1 and it shows. Alonso is definitely past it for such high intensity games, completely invisible. Javi looks like he's on the way back to his former class, very nice.

That would definitely be helpful. Ancelotti won't be happy with such a poor defensive display oday.

looking forward to see Sanches. Too bad he is not available tonight. maybe Kimmich legs to help out Vidal in the middle?

The way he's able to sometimes burst forward and develops drive for our offense is such a great thing for our game. That's why I want him in midfield again.

I could only watch the first 25 minutes but Thiago immediately started to annoy me again. So many stupid losses of possession. Seeing Hummels in a red shirt is even worse.

He got better towards the end of the half, but he still left a lot to be desired. I'm starting to think his injuries have actually ruined what promised to be the best playmaker in the world.

Tbh a Bayern fan would know more than me so if he's still good enough you say then hey, my opinion isn't worth as much.

What I'm saying is that Alonso should not only not start games like this, but should not be starting at all (provided we don't have too many injuries). So you're not wrong.

All in all Passlack is holding his own though.

Yep, very promising display so far. In general his games as FB were the most convincing so far. He simply fits very well there in our play style, good pace, incredible engine and strong shot. The thing I love the most about the kid is his mentality, though. Boy is a natural leader without an ego.

To be honest thatmight very well be a red card, and I'm at the point where I wish they had sent him off in this, irrelevant, game.
He does something like this in almost every contentious game, and it's fecking annoying.
He just can't control himself, and he keeps getting away with it too often. It might just cost us again at some point when it hurts.

Ribery is absolutely useless today. Time for Coman to come on.

Referee completely bottled it there.

Ribery stopped competing swung an arm and caught the side of Passlack's face.

Straight red card.

Passlack might be the end of our RB worries in the national team if he keeps up this kind of level.

Injuries are no excuse for mental sloppiness. It's his principal problem, and I doubt he'll ever shake it off
