Bundesliga 2016/17

Thought it was a shocking decision at first influenced by the ganging ud on the ref, but actually a good call when seeing the replay.

Assume it was just a really poor attempt by Forsberg, rather than malicious though

Nah he changed his decision after talking to he lino. He wanted to give a yellow but I think the lino had a better view on the situation so he decided to trust him. Imo it's the correct decision as Forsberg doesn't even try to get the ball. If he wants to make a tactical foul he needs to be cleverer about it.

Agreed and after seeing the replay it is a proper red. Just comes in from behind to take out the man, not close to the ball at all

Yeah I agree with the first part after seeing full replays, world never had sent him off if he hadnt caught him with the studs though.

It is strange since they have passed all their other big tests this season.

What big test actualy? They lost the only KO match of the season. The home game vs. us was the first of theirs with no pressure. Leipzig did well in deciding nearly every close match for themselves, including some really lucky ones like vs. Leverkusen.

Now, the pressure is on them and teams won´t act as naively against them. Bayern uses this game to put their foot down.

Leverkusen and Wolfsburg away. Dortmund at home. Are three big tests no matter how you downplay it, unless you claim there's only one test in Germany which is playing Bayern?

I did think they made a statement beating Leverkusen and beating Hertha after slipping up the previous match.

Perfect, simply perfect. I'm just drunk enough on top to have an absolutely delightful evening

That game was many things, but not a statement. Lverkusen was the overall better team that day and gifted Leipzig the win due to a stupid OG and a massive blunder by Leno.

What a catastrophe. Hummels should be banned.

Great game apart from that, a fluidity I would've never expected. Alonso doing really well, Alaba and Lahm are having standout performances after a lot of mediocre stuff recently. Keep going, lads.

What pressure? They had absolutely nothing to lose this evening. We just happened to turn up big time today. Best performance of the season from us by far.

Heh. Is there a team in germany who can be competitive at the allianz against a focused, pissed off bayern?

As i said, Bayern going serious for the first time under Ancelotti. Showing their muscles, only Dortmund at their veeeeeery best can compete. Hope Bayern will show more of this in UCL knockout stages.

At Allianz there may not be a team in Europe who can tbh.

At their very best Dortmund can, but again, probably not at Allianz.

At the allianz, not even dortmund at their veeeeeery best

Heard all this chat about Leipzig and was looking forward to seeing Forsberg who I liked at Euros.

Well feck me

Nice from Forsberg to help me with my decision if I should watch the second half. What a moron, great to see Leipzig humiliated, I'm off to the Weihnachtsmarkt.

Still, I think leipzig are good enough and well managed enough to go the distance. They'll finish in the top 4

There is a pretty big diffrerence of playing in Munich as the ultimate underdog or as second placed team with the same number of points. There has been a lot of hype around this team even on top of their increased medial exposure due to the nature of their club.

Leipzig players were obviously very nervous in that half. This is not to take away anything from Bayern, though. Their play was superb. In that state there are only a handful of teams in the world able to keep up with them (let alone winning there). Leipzig is not one of them and it shows.

Depends on what you define on being competitve. For me it means matching them, so basically drawing the tie. Beating them is a whole different story.

Competitive=good enough to make it a game and not get blown off the stadium

Holy shit! Another golazo! What a free kick by Hertha. It would be the 8th defeat in a row for Darmstadt.
