Bundesliga 2016/17

Bartra's passing is such a huge disappointment, even if he wasn't from La Masia. Might as well let Subotic play at this rate. Merino has his fair share of mistakes too.

Dortmund are a shambles at the back. I ripped into Bartra earlier this season after the Sporting game and was told that he'll turn out great and it was just temporary.

He's just not good enough and it shows consistently.

To be fair to him he has some pretty good moments quite often, but the amount of silly mistakes he makes on the ball is simply unacceptable.

He lacks on concentration on a worrying level. You get the feeling he's trying really hard to be a defender and it doesn't come naturally to him. Of course we all know he is a defender and has always been but that's scary.

I don't think his defending is even that bad it's more like he's trying to be Humels (driving the ball forward deep into midfield and being the first playmaker of the team) but simply doesn't have the judgement and accuracy to pull it off and when you take these risks it's absolutely crucial that you don't feck up.
The pass that led to the goal was a good example of this, his idea to exploit the space Augsburg left him was absolutely correct, it's 100% what Hummels would have done, but he then fecked up the pass in a hilariously bad way, like missing Aubameyang by 1m on a <10m pass and instead setting Augsburg up for an easy and unexpected counter attack.

This has been quite frustrating so far. Frankfurt scored early from a long ball over the top, they've done nothing since. Meanwhile, we missed three golden chances and wasted a bunch of good set piece opportunities.

He seems to be trying to play attacking midfielder at times.

In terms of positioning and decision making it's exactly like Hummels did it, so I'm not even sure Tuchel doesn't encourage it. The problem lies in the execution.

Dembele equalizes after a beautiful 1-2 with Kagawa.
Ausburg should have scored. Borussia fecking crap at the back.
Auba with a beautiful bycicle kick. Shame it was straight at the keeper.

That is the second arguable pen for us...

I don´t even care anymore.... that is a lie, I do. fecking hell.

Massive chance for Kagawa and Wolfsburg are up again thanks to the old Mario Gomez :D. He never fails to score.

I don't think the first one has to be given, second one was a clear contact to Kagawa's knee though, so I suppose that one was pretty obvious.

Yeah, first one would have been soft (but in line with the refs pretty tight line), second one was stonewall.

How the feck did he miss it?
Weidenfeller tried another cock up, lol. So past it is unbelievable.
1-1 FT. Another draw for Dortmund. They can't really step up. So much wasted talent.

First he robbed us off two pens and now cost us the last attack, thanks ref. What a shit game.

We finally have a good striker again. Wood is a great player.

And yet here they are again rumoured to throw money at Brandt. Not that he is not top class, value and brings a slightly different dimension to the attack. But it becomes a question of whether you want to build a winning team or just an entertaining one. That means you need to find defensive reinforcements including a goalie to push Burki. I don´t rate Sule as highly as others, and nothing is known about the transfer fee Bayern are willing to ship, but if it´s 20M for Brandt or Sule, Dortmund needs Sule more.

Plus I think they need a Kante/Keita type holding midfielder to play next to Weigl to lower his defensive burden. They obviously probably can not get Naby Keita but, someone of that type.
