Bundesliga 2016/17

We just can't get rid of that **** club hsv

Wolfsburg 2 years ago Champions League and German Cup winner, now relegation playoff. De Bruyne and VW crisis really screwed them.

Thanks to referee for this loss against Dortmund. Such a chance for place 7 and then this..

The 3-1 by Ribery was actually an own goal
Ribery hit the post and it looked to turn away from the line, but the keeper pushed it in :D

Hamburg

Wolfsburg beat Real Madrid 2-0 in the 1st leg of the CL quarters last season and now they're very close to relegation. What's happened to them?

Plastic club with a mercenary squad, who don't care how far down the drain their club goes.. And obviously they cut back a bit, by selling Draxler and Schürrle.

12th placed Leverkusen have scored more goals than United in the league with three fewer games played.

Leverkusen probably have about the third best squad in the league with an attacking mindset. Bremen's 61 goals are a lot more impressive, though of course they paid for that with defensive stability.

I have seen Christian Streich's press conference on Thursday. I think he would not mind if Frankfurt would win the Cup and Freiburg would not have to play Europa... 7th means that you have to go through 2 extra rounds of qualifiers and the 6 Europa League matches - with a Freiburg squad that probably will again loose its best players...

Who cares for Bayern today ? Cologne qualified for european football, first time since ages. The whole city is buzzing right now unbelieveable scenes here
I like Koln, Modeste has been awesome.

...but... I remember the ugly pictures from 2012, too - when Cologne got relegated...

As great as an achievement finishing 7th is for Freiburg I think they will be a relegation candidate next season should Dortmund win the cup. They aren't a stable team to begin with (-18 GD, 60 goals conceded), they won't be able to hold on to their key players (Grifo and Philipp seem to be leaving) let alone afford enough depth for dealing with 2-3 competition.
The EL qualification will disrupt their preparation, the group stages will distract their rather inexperienced players and drain them and I don't think they have the money to buy a turnaround during the winter break.
