I'm not sure to be honest.Thats insane. Surely down to the pandemic and staff not being able to work to build them etc?

Then don’t announce them till you got enough stock ready to go.
They just rushed it out like Nvidia have.
Fair play. I’ve decided I’ll get a tuf 3080 or ftw 3 ultra 3090 if I can source either for delivery this side of Christmas. I’m convinced that the pre-ordered stuff ain’t coming until sometime in January or maybe even February and I can’t be fecked waiting. Not yet. Waiting on 6000 series reviews before doing anything.

Whats the consensus on ram situation, is 4 sticks better than 2 sticks or not ? Ive read conflicting views with no clear answer. I was always under the impression that having 2 sticks is better, however ive seen reviews where 4 sticks get 10-15% more fps in games.
2x16 or 4x8 (two 2x8 kits) ? 3600 CL 16 being the same in all.
Fair enough mate. Yeah it's a shambles regarding cards and 6000 series amd are meant to be just as bad so I'll wait for reviews tomorrow and see. Maybe @Balljy will send you a discord server invite. Its been really good regarding 3080's. I could have bought a couple already, and 3090's are almost always available for good few minutes when they go up. Much better than stock informer. Though I think one is unable to purchase from amazon Germany and get the item posted to UK so keep that in mind.
let us know if you do get one.So after an actual call from their business manager apologising over and over, Curry's business reckon they are getting 75 of the 3070 OC in this week. Still don't know if I trust it though
From my understanding dual channel is always better but I'll be really surprised if it's a 10-15 fps difference.Whats the consensus on ram situation, is 4 sticks better than 2 sticks or not ? Yeah you can get 3090's below msrp on Spanish amazon store. For some reason French and Italian stores won't let me add to my basket. I tried a few dry runs.I've already sent it to a few people who asked including @Fortitude
The 3070 and 3090 FE just went up on Nvidia which links to Scan for the cheapest card and is always at MSRP. The 3080 is likely to go up in a bit too.
There will be no RX6800XT or RX6800 available for sale in the UK tomorrow. The was only one confirmed shipment for one retailer in the UK of 35 units. That's right guys, only 35 units for one retailer for the entire UK. No other retailer will have any units. The 2000 units that were meant to be coming are not coming tomorrow.
The earliest that anyone in the UK can get a card will be next week and most likely an AIB model. Don't waste your time with F5 anywhere. UK has only 35 units (cards). Also expect all UK retailers to seriously over charge on the AIB models. Only one retailer in UK is very unlikely to overcharge (not OCUK). Expect OCUK to use 0.05% variations in sterling market price for price increases of up to 35% along with other retailers.
Is the Germany thing because of Brexit? I haven't been keeping up. Annoying because they have some amazing prices. I could get one sent to my OH's family, but I really dread the idea of them sending it over and it getting lost or whatever.Fair enough mate. Did you ever see a 3080 ftw 3 ultra on there? (disc.)I've already sent it to a few people who asked including @Fortitude

3090 FTW Ultra just went on sale on amazon German for 1600 euro. Fantastic price imo. Sorry my mistake €1,781,29. Still isn't bad.Is the Germany thing because of Brexit? I haven't been keeping up. Zotac's and Palit's seems to be a dime a dozen, but the FTW's and TUF's are rare and seem to go in a literal flash.
@Balljy sorted me out, yea. Really great resource to have.

Yeah, I’ve seen some great deals on .de but never shipping to UK, which is annoying.3090 FTW Ultra just went on sale on amazon German for 1600 euro. Fantastic price imo. Sorry my mistake €1,781,29. Still isn't bad.
I’ll definitely grab one if I get the chance, but it’s pretty obvious bots are buying them as they are gone from your basket before you can even checkout! The tuf seems to be the rarest card, but the ftw3’s aren’t far behind. Both feel like gold dust.I got a 3080 FTW3 Ultra myself from Amazon UK but through Amazon Global for £770 which is pretty decent for that card. They appear occasionally but you have to be quick. EVGA seem to concentrate on Europe in batches, so there'll probably be another load through in the next week or so.
10-15? Nah, that sounds way too high. I guess it does depend on the motherboard and memory type, but I just can't see it being that much of a difference.

Dual channel 2x8 is better than a single stick of 16. That's all i know to be honest.

Better do it fast: LG oled are plummeting in price!Enough of that.
Where is my 3090? I had it ordered for 2 bleeding months. What you going to do about it Paxi?
I don’t care about French, Spain or Germany. I want what I paid for and you promised me it Paxi. You hyped up these cards to me with all the videos you posted, made me buy one and now Scan have been sitting on my money getting interest off it. If I don’t get one by this Friday, I am coming round yours and taking that LG TV.
Better do it fast: LG oled are plummeting in price!
Had ordered a unit and it isn't coming until Dec, but they've dropped the price another £200 since! So I cancelled that order and re-ordered it at the new price! Quite annoyed because they've dropped the price a full grand since June when I bought my one. Never had these issues with Pioneer!
Don’t think so with lockdown. So shipments will be more delayed. I do think by December you should be able to buy the 3090 from wherever you want.
Only Asus are screwing around with the 3090. They have 536 preorders for that left and 365 belong to Asus.
2642 for 3080 and 2100 for 3070. For this week they are expecting 282 new 3080 cards. Two weeks previously they been averaging 300 or so 3080 cards. That’s going to take a while to clear out preorders.
Where are you getting this info from?Just checked Scan.
429 outstanding 3090 cards and 537 are due to arrive this week.
2379 outstanding 3080 cards with 540 to arrive.
I'm wary now - hate the idea of purchasing and then seeing the price drop like a boulder. I can't believe my panel is now £1k less in 5 fecking months! Strangely, the 77" hasn't suffered the same fate.I will be getting whatever model follows after the CX sometime next year. My current Sony TV is more than good enough as it cost me a bomb, but I like the direction where LG are going with their TVs. Where as Sony are going backwards. They had some of the best TVs for HDR gaming only a few years back, but LG have left them standing still.
Don't be getting my hopes up! Ignorance has been bliss, somewhat.Just checked Scan.

Think the LG's, you probably have to be mindful of a similar thing happening, unless you don't care what happens in the market after you purchase (I have a [weird] habit of still keeping tabs on for a few months after)
I guess we'll see what they do with HDMI 2.1 as well as input times over the next 18 months. I hope the leaps aren't astronomical, tbh. Will make me feel like a first gen mug!
This'll be the 2nd CX in the house when it comes. Just glad I got it at the reduced-reduced-reduced () price.I am waiting to see what they show at CES 2021. But those TVs won’t be released until later on in the year.
I would still go with the CX, if I was you as it’s still the best gaming TV on the market. The only problem at the moment is I have to get out of this habit of leaving stuff off pause or leaving the consoles on a pause menu as that will screw me up for OLED.
Scan now showing the 3070/80 close to retail price for pre order.
