I have to agree, think our targets were Longstaff for Matic's position and Maguire. This ties in wuth what Ole has said about 'one or two others' and not being forced to pay over the odds, and the young (though Maguire 26) british core we've heard about.
I'll be glad when it's all over really. I think we would take dybala but our chiefs probably only heard of the possibility in the last couple of days. I personally just cant see him playing for United.

The name "Sporting Lisbon" always annoyed me because Lisbon isn't even in the name of the club and people always call us that when it's not our name. It's like if I said United of Manchester or something like that. If anything Benfica have Lisbon in there name "Sport Lisboa e Benfica" yet no one calls them "Benfica Lisbon"
I get it the media calls us that so thats why you and others do but most if not all Sporting fans hate that

TBF Di Marzio's contacts are all in Italy. Sampdoria have nothing to gain by Dybala staying with Sporting, maybe Sampdoria fed him the misinformation to try and stir the pot themselves. When someone says agreement is close they don't mean it's done. No idea why people pretend as if a reporter breaking a potential deal means they have issued some sort of guarantee that it HAS to happen.

Well presumably to try and trigger somebody else to bid for him by making them think United are interested. Sampdoria have a sell on fee for Bruno and may be anxious to cash in this window and so are doing their part to try and create a market.
We could sign Maguire, Dybala, SMS and Longstaff while keeping Pogba, and I'd still be fuming if we don't sign Bruno. He's the man.
