I was just about to say I’m done refreshing this thread every 2 mins for a week , and now I’m far from done haha

Weird. So he said it on Sky Sport Italy? Surely it would be all over twitter. I know sky germany refer to sky italy and Romano, but cant believe he didnt tweet it

I can't understand why we'd break the bank for him while Eriksen is leaving for a much lower fee, presumably without our interference. Anyway, hope it goes through, we so sorely need that creative midfielder and I'm pleasantly surprised that it looks likely to happen.

Yeah, in that documentary on him the BBC did it showed he constantly has his phone in his hand tweeting as things happen.

I was going to get an early night too

Friendly reminder to those who point out that Ed should just pay £60m instead of £50m to get it done.

First off, this isn't monopoly money. 10 million pounds is a STAGGERING amount of money. He'd be negligent if he did not try to get the price lower.

Talks are about several aspects: Price: Cash upfront - Cash in installments. This one is very important to the clubs future budget and EBIDTA. Rumours about sporting wanting a player on loan also need to be resolved. Its a hard asking loaning a player to Sporting because they cant afford to pay our salaries, so we'd have to borrow them a player essentially for free compared to their operating budget and ours.

In short. its not as easy as giving them 60 million.
I agree with this but why do most other teams breeze through transfers and we drag on and on and on? Is it only us?
Something is wrong on the way we conduct transfers.

It is when people just flagrantly pretend Ed has never negotiated a price down. What is it with football fans and being utterly incapable of thinking about something with any degree of nuance? These same mentalists would have just thrown whatever Palace wants at AWB and then bitched about giving away the 25% sell on fee for Zaha later on. I'm no fan of Woodward but he literally can't win.

Woodward deserves every single criticism thrown his way with his transfer dealings. From his very first transfer (Fellaini) until almost his last (Maquire) his dithering has cost us more than he's probably saved the club and coming out with his famous, "we can do in the transfer market what other clubs can only dream off." added another 10-20% on top of the already higher United tax especially when the clubs that before were pretty desperate for money can now afford to keep their players if they don't think their valuation has been met.

Not harder to be better than Zidane. Biggest Youtube player of all time. We’d be eviscerating him watching him weak in and weak out and barely delivering anything.

There are times when people have to endure the consequences of freedom of speech. Reading this was one of those times.

Either he waits and gave them some exclusive info first, or Sky Germany got some fake news from someone. I have a sneaking suspicion it is not the former.

Please stop knocking Luke Shaw over.

Translation of the link people are posting:

The tug of war for Bruno Fernandes has obviously finally come to an end. According to Fabrizio Romano, a reporter from Sky Sport Italia, Manchester United and Sporting Lisbon have agreed to a transfer. Bruno Fernandes is expected shortly in Manchester to complete his medical check.

it's in German, saying the clubs have found an agreement and Fernandes will do his medical in Manchester soon. They quote Romano as their source.

Scroll to 18:50 and it’s there.

Romano and Di Marzio do tend to leave their tweets for 9/10pm so will be interesting to see what he has then.
Cheers. Noticed they have a thing on there about Pogba still wanting to leave too.

Eriksen doesn't really want to be here. Bruno is younger and is looking to make a name for himself
