That was a proper captain's performance that he so often fails to provide in big games. My heart sank a few times when he took substituting Mainoo way too literally (by dribbling past multiple players deep in our midfield) but he got away with it! And the pass to Dalot in the first half that led to Amad chance was pure filth. Very, very good.

It’s wild how often he’s doubted, fantastic player. Did that time to rest whilst suspended do him some good?

That was Bruno of old. When he plays like that, he’s indispensable. It’s just a case of being consistent with that.

If Amorim can drill some on-ball discipline into him and a chill pill or two, he’s good in Amorim’s system.

Best big game performance in an away game from him. He was even dribbling in ways we haven't seen before.

Good game

He's an incredible interview though. One of, if not the best, interview in football imo. He's so grounded and honest to critique his own performances even after having a good performance in a good team performance and getting a point. This is why hes captain. He must be fantastic to play with when he can communicate with you like that.

He was pretty critical of his own performances of late in the post match interview.
Wants this to the standard week in/week out.
Fantastic player when he's on it.

He is our best player.

All you whiners can complain when someone manages to deliver more than him for the team. Until then be grateful we have him.

Many of us have fallen into the trap of judging people when everything is shit.

When the whole club is toxic, it’s just so much easier to drop a couple of howlers and put in poor performances. Bruno’s had plenty of those during our never-ending bad patch, but he is without doubt a quality player.

The last slither of hope I hold for United is Ruben being able to get a melody out of a club that, let’s face it, is an out of tune instrument.

If the system clicks and the team as a whole starts playing, Bruno could be very, very good.

You're spot on. Most of our players in isolation have a lot more talent than to be playing for a team 14th in the table. Bruno is absolutely world class and one of the most creative midfielders in the world.

Today it was important that we emotionally stayed in the game and didn't lose our heads. That's been an ongoing issue, especially in big games, for years.

There's a lot of room for us to collectively get better. Need to sort out some missing profiles on the market, raise the physical + athletic levels, and sort out the "emotional control" side too

I guess those "really mean" comments are going to have to stay in your drafts mate. You must be devastated we didn't lose and Bruno put in a flawless performance.
If you wouldn't be so invested in all the agenda bla bla bla you would have notice, that I didn't criticized the player for quite some time. He did play well today, as did most of the team and I acknowledged him even in my post in the post-match discussion.

He was excellent today. Maybe he gets moved on at some point but there's no way that he shouldn't be starting for us with the current squad. The position isn't perfect for him but he's comfortably the best suited player for the LAM position (in theory it's Mount but injuries and no form for the best part of nearly 3 years makes it redundant).

What 2 weeks of rest does to a man who plays full 90s at full pace.
No. It's more what time on the training pitch has so people know a bit more where they're supposed to be, so they can concentrate on their game.

Player of the match. At the heart of all our creative play. Ladies and gentlemen, the problem: Bruno Fernandes.

As soon as we sell him we'll be so much better...

Your comment about losing our heads is so true. Actually felt we did lose it - the release after taking the lead was too much emotion - yet it was impressive to see we managed to rediscover some composure when we could have fallen apart.

It was Dalot who mentioned it after the City game that that was the first time in a long time that the team managed to emotionally control themselves and stay in the game thanks to it. I felt the same thing in that game, even in the 85th minute I knew we could get something out of it. I had the exact same feelings today.

As you say, today might've been even more impressive as we recovered after Michael Oliver's antics.

Captain's performance, however nearly fecked the performance after getting megged by Bradley at the end.

He has his flaws but he's been let down by being on a shit team for most of his time here, he should have been competing for the biggest prizes given how productive he's been for us but he's played mostly with dickheads. That was one of his best performances in a big away game, he was absolutely fantastic.

His best game by an absolute mile in an age. He was superb. Kept possession fantastically well and moved the ball through midfield into attack seamlessly at times. More of this Bruno!

Very frustrating today. He really frustrated that liverpool defense!!!

Excellent captain’s performance. Gave him all, ran up and down the pitch, very good vision and passes, great assist. He was massive today

Excellent performance today - really really good.

Especially amongst the criticism m, he really was the leader out there
