He's rising to the responsibility of captain. EtH deserves credit for implementing a system which lets Bruno do what he does best.

Any credit for today, or will just wait for the next "bad" game from him to post up? @Chief123 apologies if I got the wrong poster. :wenger:

EDIT: yeah wrong poster. Wish I can remember the name of the poster that called him just "a bad football" and doesn't rate him at all.

Thats @TsuWave

Nonsense. He’s brilliant when used correctly. :D

If he could take care of the ball a bit more and stop doing flashy stuff for every 2 yard pass he has to make he would be legit one of the best midfielders in the world.

frustrates the hell out of me sometimes with the little flicks and back heels he does, but yet again involved in all 3 of our goals. the pass for rashford goal was majestic.

He is a beautiful player. Hopefully he'll have a comeback season under Ten Hag and perform like he did 2 years ago.

Great pass for Rashford today. Playing as well as he has ever done last couple of games for me.

This is what I say about him:

People try all sorts of rationalizations but he's just not a very good football player.

Good game today. Doesn't erase the year and a half of being shit, though. That's just the harsh realities. But I've given him his dues today:

Great assist by Bruno to be fair. I'm probably his biggest detractor, but that was good

Hats off to him. I'll stay off his neck this week

Brilliant passes in the lead up to both goals. His game is so suited to counterattacking and it’s little surprise he thrived under Ole early on with three runners ahead of him and us defending deep.

He works his ass off too, which is always a great starting point for any player.

Yes. I've literally provided one of my posts saying as much. I don't know why you're beasting as if I'm contesting it.

Here; Bruno is a bum to me, I do not rate him. Had a very good game today though, but rather than focusing on that you want to do keyboard wrestling me and derail the thread.

That pass to Rashford changed the course of the game. Classic Bruno, always capable of that (as much as we're frustrated many times with his risky style).

I’m simply stating I believe your view about him being a bad footballer is nonsense. Don’t know why you’re getting worked up. I just disagree with your assessment.

When it comes to instinctive forward passes, his output is quite literally second to none.

He really does have a knack and I'm not talking about just through balls, assists, goals, crosses etc. There's been many a time when there have been passes fired into his path and he will kill it with a really subtle and progressive flick/pass etc or when there's an opportunity to run with it into stride. The problem is when he's asked to control it first time as he's seems unsettled on what to do with it!

For first goal Eriksen played very good pass between the lines to Bruno, then Bruno was fouled and Sancho took over the ball which lead to goal.
For second goal, Eriksen again played pass to Bruno with good amount of space and time to play the ball to Rashford.
For third goal, Bruno played very good pass to Eriksen which lead to 2v0 attack for us.

Both of them are finding each other in good positions, still early days and lot to improve especially with controlling the game but these 2 players are starting to click.

All good. We won today and I’m way too happy. Something about beating Arsenal feels too great. Hopefully he puts in more performances we’re he is key like today. Salud

Have to say I didn’t notice a massive amount of him but that pass to Rashford was amazing..

I've been on his case a lot but it seems like the captaincy more than anything has made the biggest difference. He still has moments that leave you scratching your head but his desire to work for the team is unmatched. The added responsibility seems to have made him more of a team player.

Tenacity created the first. Sublime pass created the second. Vision created the third. Yet he's getting criticized.

Probably his best game in the last 2 years. The faster the game is the better for him to do the damage. Just desperately need runners and that he had today. Impressive one touch passing picking the right passes like it was natural for him. Hopefully this means he has got his confidence back and more like this can follow.

Special mention to his workrate today as well, good pressing all game.

You just don’t go from a player who completely transforms a team to becoming a bad player. Is just not possible. It’s clear as day this team just needed better coaching and set ups that suit the players. Bruno seems a new man especially since getting the captaincy. His work rate and key passing has been brilliant.

In conclusion, not a very good footballer can do what he has done for us (including his bad spells for 23234234 millions of years).

I've been quick to have a moan about Fernandes seeking out the killer pass too often, but you don't get goals like Rashford's first without a few speculative passes that don't work out. That was a top, top pass today.

Bruno did well against Leicester and this was an even better performance, he's starting to get his angles again. He just needs to get a few of those kind of passes right and maybe score a couple of goals and he will get his confidence back. If we can get back the Bruno from 2020/2021, we're going to be really fun to watch this season if the team keeps progressing this fast.

I am saying the other guy said he is not a very good player. Not a very good player can do what he has been doing it for us.
I gotcha!

I think we’ll see a lot of our existing players improve massively with better coaching. Dare I say it, even McTominay has looked a new man in the last 4 games. Even to the point where he’s making himself undroppable. And that’s saying something when I’ve been hell bent against him.

What’s really become effective for us is his aggression, pressing and tackling. It’s triggering a lot of our counter attacks again.

Bruno was low on confidence last season. It’s understandable: he is a team player who cares about state of the things.

Because of McFred inability to progress the ball Bruno had to be “glue”. He dropped deep, triggered pressing, made runs forward.

Then he just gassed out. Faded with the team.

Now we have Eriksen who can deliver ball to Bruno in the final third. And look what he can do.

people writing him off have a very short memory. Or just don’t watch the game

Played a big part in all three goals, and his general play has been much neater and efficient under ETH. Massive boost for us.

I actually like when he's shifted onto the wings late in games. It's a good sub as he has a great engine, and allows us to shore up the midfield while still having someone with that killer pass.
