I mean, yeh. But there are also several examples of those players being in teams down to 10 men and not winning.
Brian dead football from this guy, at least four occasions where he has created a problem for our defence, don’t need this shit when you’re already a man down.
You can't then blame him can you. We all know he has no composure yet he started deep in midfield. We also tried to get De Jong because there is an understanding that we need someone to control the game. Not all midfielders are controllers.
All it took was a performance in a 10 vs 11 game for the negative posters to come back, its also in a game which he hit the bar and created couple of great chances.. He looked proper knackered in the end though..

His job is to create in the space ahead, and ETH should never have left him in the deep middle with the flaws he has in this kind of game. It is down to the manager as well. It is a bit of a different take than the one in which he had a very bad game.

Had a good game, all things considered. Almost scored the match winner, covered about 13km, playing in a midfield 2 with Sancho who had no idea what he was doing.
Also, Bruno was hitting expansive passes because they were clearly our tactics today. Casemiro did the exact same thing 5-6 times in the short period he was on the pitch.

But good playmakers for any top teams tend to be comfortable on the ball.
Bruno is a unique case for being the worst no.10 at dribbling I've ever seen at a big club.
It wasn't the game for Bruno after Casemiro got sent off. Way too loose in possession and in these kind of games you need players who protect the ball better. Unlucky not to score though
Our best offensive player today. Only one that looked like he could find an opening for us. Given how fecking useless our wingers were today it's crazy people are picking on Bruno.

You have to admit that he can be both good and terrible at the same time. He's too reckless and erratic for a top team, and the fact he's one of our better player doesn't change that.

Yup, unlucky to not get an assist today. Played several beautiful passes. He made a mistake once or twice though, so that obviously nullifies everything else.

I don't think he did that bad today, apart from losing a ball a few times and causing a dangerous turnover situation. But, well, we all knew this would happen so that isn't surprising.
It's more surprising that Ten Hag wanted him in deep midfield. I don't understand this decision. Was he really needed there? Both Fred and McTominay couldn't play? He looked quite tired at the end so I think he shouldn't play this game if we wanted to give Sancho a go.

Really hope that ETH finally gets the memo and stops deploying him in the centre of the pitch. Don't think, he was particularly bad today, but he wasn't good as well. Just decent, the shot was obviously great, but that is the thing with him, isn't it. 89 meh minutes aren't transformed in a "good game" with one good shot. Wasn't his fault though that he was played this close to our own goal, could have sunk us today at at least two occasions.
Casemiro probably doesnt get sent off if we start him alongside an actual midfielder.
Can see he was overwhelmed almost from kick off as Southampton did the same as Leicester and smashed us out the gates.
Even McTominay, as rubbish as he is, is a less fatally flawed deep lying midfielder than Bruno.
Bruno has some use as a deep midfielder in some games or parts. But the thinking process of some people who want him to play deep was to play Sancho (in No. 10), a player who they are desperate to have useful somewhere in the team, including ETH. It is not like he has been playing in a wrong position all his life. It is hard to change a player position at 28 in general.
Not that I think it wasn't a good try in this game. Cas pretty much fecked everything for them to see how it might work properly.

Cas has been a bit shit for his standard recently and he was definitely shit in this game. His careless passes or his rough tackling were always there. They just didn't started to happen in this game.
The fecking camera angle on that shot that hit the post, I was absolutely certain it was in, was half celebrating still by the time it went out for a corner 
Yeh he's been poor but he's obviously knackered as well. Which is why ETH was off his rocker to put him on his own today with Sancho and Bruno the nearest to him. The laziest weakest player in the squad on one side and the most careless with the ball on the other.
When Cas was at his best we were defending better from the front and he was playing like a midfield sweeper. Last few games we've been getting turned over in our own half and had runners going straight through the middle of the pitch. And when that happens he gets wild.
He should have come off instead of Wout. Bruno is good for games we’re going to dominate the ball high up the pitch. For games where we’re under to cosh, or against top teams (or against 10 men), he’s a liability. I wish EtH was a bit more tactical on how he uses him. Should start most of our games but not all of them for that reason.

I’m a Bruno fan and think his creativity is a big part of our success. Yes he can be incredibly frustrating too.
However, I do think a lot of the hate he gets is his incredibly awkward style of running with the ball. For someone who’s so technically gifted at striking a pass or a shot, his running ability with the ball is really difficult on the eye. When he moves forward with the ball at his feet, it’s like watching someone pushing a crate of cans along the floor with their foot while moving forward at the checkout queue.
However, I do think a lot of the hate he gets is his incredibly awkward style of running with the ball. This macho iron-man bollocks needs to end. For the last 15 minutes he was walking around the pitch because he was absolutely shattered.
I think he should have piped down a little bit today. Spraying all these "interesting" passes around wasn't really the order of the day. Giving the ball away cheaply was exposing us quite badly with 10 men. I sympathise a bit because ultimately we still needed to win and still had a great chance to win but he probably should have better game intelligence to realise what we needed. It would have been better to sit in, press less, keep the ball and do a tactical job, then hopefully we can pick Southampton apart one time.
You’re not getting it. Some fans believe his strength is a weakness for how they want the team to play.

I normally get on his case but today the manager was disrespectful to Southampton with his midfield selection and tactics. It backfired, so I’d absolve all players from criticism today.
Hurts seeing you compare this guy to Tevez. Tevez was a great player. Bruno is, well, not.
For United alone, Bruno was easily a better player than Tevez was.
