I still think he is best when playing in the middle. Of course, that's his best position, and if we have any decent players for the RW, The energy with him and without him in the middle was very different. And we are not even talking about the creativity there.

This is a true captain. An engine on the pitch, full of passion and always gives 100% out these. Vital for us especially then in the middle

Only thing I didn't like was him choosing to get into an altercation while we have been pressurizing them. Apart from that, he did well.

Brilliant 2nd half. Seemed really fired up and had a big part to play in both the goals. Loved the shithousery at the end too.
Also I think it's time to change the thread title to "Portuguese guy - 2022-23 performances"

Him booting the ball at de Jong for not coming to us

Ok not the reason but still, his fitness is insane

there was someone in the Match day thread who wanted him sold in the summer

Gave away a stupid penalty. Should have done better with early chance from an angle that was saved; needs to aim for the corner. Didn't get a great connection with his volley from Martinez' long pass that was saved. Assist for Fred's goal.

I don't give a shit I absolutely love the lad and he just gives everything to this team. He bleeds this club.

Huge miss in the first 5 minutes, brain dead on the penalty, and then he plays a large direct contribution to both goals. Bruno Fernandes

Bruno on De Jong

Great second half. Truthfully he was fine in the first half as well on the right, just happened to miss a chance (that should have been an easy tap in if Weghorst didn't run with an anchor tied around his waist) and then gave up the pen. I thought it was soft, but honestly it's also fecking stupid from him to even bother in that position.

Scary to thing he's running so much in every game and missed like 2 games in 5 years. Shame about his consistency and finishing which has got worse from his days in Portugal - he really should be scoring more from the chances he's got but then again, he creates a lot for the others too and works his socks off, can't be really mad at him on a day like this.

Becoming a great team player under ETH

He is so much like Wazza but with a better first touch . His attitude towards football is exactly like Rooney

How does he sleep at night, he seems to be so fired up every feckin game, every 3 days.

Him and Fred probably play fifa every night to keep themselves busy while everyone else rest.

He's become extremely likeable again. He was a whiny nob last season, but given the fecking state of our season, it's understandable. He's become that loveable shithouse again, and he's an absolute warrior.

Sorry but that was never a pen. All credit to Bruno for not falling apart after that and the missed chance. He was pivotal to the second half turn around.

So crucial to our play. Our upturn from the dark late 2010s started with him and if he gets injured we will miss him more than any other player.

I'd be more worried about the misses if it was our only chances. I was confident we could still win despite that first half. And Bruno was instrumental in both goals

First half was classic Big Match Bruno: rash and disappointing.

Second half was the best of Bruno Fernandes.

Go win that trophy on Sunday. Time to get the monkey off the back.

Started with ETH….last season was our worst and Bruno was one of the worst. Martinez and Casemiro are world class, Rashford has been unbelievable this season. Luke Shaw also is a phenomenal player for us.
