The penalty miss I can forgive. Don't think he should have taken it given that Ronaldo has scored his last few, but people miss penalties. However, wonder if anyone in our team had the bollocks to give him a piece of their mind when he lost the ball, resulting in Arsenal's third goal, which effectively killed the game for us?

He'd do the same to someone else.

Extending the deal has been the right thing

Is a player you can sell easily to Psg sooner or later

We need to sell whilst the delusions of thinking he's a good player are still rampant within the footballing world.

That was before his extension. The wages he is on now, forget that. Plus the club will always believe Ten Hag can turn him around.

This unfortunately. It really didn’t make any sense giving him a pay rise when his old contract wasn’t going to end until 2026, and he hasn’t been playing well all season.

This is what I talk about ‘making us play better’. He’s just not that talented a footballer for me. I couldn’t care less about this stat. Because Odegaard, Mount, Bernardo can post a similar stat and still pick up 3 or 4 MOTM awards. Bruno simply isn’t capable of that.

You are to Bruno what @Pogue Mahone is to Pogba. A hater.

Well that’s certainly the caf term for not rating a player I guess . Naturally, I don’t think it’s the same, but they will likely disagree. I just don’t think he’s all that. I’m old school in my football consumption. A #10 who cannot make me gasp, excite me etc just doesn’t resonate.

Yes? Players at that age can change/improve under a good coach as well. Ten Hag won't accept this kind of performance from him, so he'll have to adapt if he wants to stay in the team.

He doesn't have the basics at 28 years of age. You don't see people speaking about players developing basics at that stage for a reason. If you think a manager will clean his game up then...good luck

We can pull a Chelsea. Con some club into thinking they're getting a deal like they did with Mata. Sell a luxury player to strengthen the team. Some club surely will still rate him enough to try for him at least.

Bruno giving a big talk to the dressing room after Liverpool just to go and put a 1/10 performance sums up this group perfectly. All talk and no substance.

Why the hell did he take a penalty ? I was 100 % sure he would miss it. His body language was lacking the confidence

it's bad when were thinking during the match that it wouldn't even bother us if VAR overturned his yellow into a red and had to sit for a couple games.

For me it's the absence of sense of rhythm, it's partially why I put them in the same bag. I don't see how you can be the creative hub of a good team when you are almost always off bit, they are both creative and both have great vision but the way they exploit it is completely random, there is no way for their teammates to even adjust. That's the difference with old school and flawed playmakers like Riquelme or Scholes, their flaws when it came to workrate and defensive awareness were huge but with the ball they were some of the most predictable players, they excelled at controlling the rhythm of the game and pass the ball in time at the correct pace.

A simple example that absolutely irks me and applies to both Pogba and Bruno, sometimes they rifle the ball into their teammates feet but very often they give the softest passes that humanity has ever seen for no good reason, there is no logic in it, they do it for the sake of it and kill the rhythm of an action.

Putting him on a £300k a week deal has made it almost impossible for 99% of the clubs in the world to afford him.

So sub his wages to help them buy him. Still save money in the long term.

1 bad decision (giving him massive bloated contract) shouldn’t equal another (keeping him if not wanted by new manager).

Better to sell someone to where they’re wanted and needed than keep them filling a role they’re not excelling in…

Exactly. We’re repeating the same mistakes. How many managers is Shaw meant to have turned it around with. . .

He’s world class though guys!! I just had it told to me yesterday. We should never sell our best players right?

Again, a more shrewd club would have accepted a fat bid for him this summer and moved him on but instead we have him an unneeded extension when he’s been crap for over a year now. But hey Bruno worshippers still get to watch him play next year!

Was he ever linked with a move away? Hard to accept a "fat bid" if one never arrived.

Bruno has the ability and he’s proven it and we’ve seen it.

Big season for him next year.

I’m disappointed with him, but he shouldn’t be abused. Done a lot to prove himself. He’ll do it again I’m sure. The club is in ruins right now. In his current form he would’ve been on the bench and he never would have been allowed to take this pen if ETH was in charge.

So keep calm. He is going to be great next season.

The way he presses from left to right just boggles my mind.

He basically goes to press one guy, the ball moves, and then he goes to press the next guy and, automatically, any of his teammates that are behind him are 100% screwed.

That's a very serious lack of understanding basic football.

But fans love his passion and work rate even though it completely fecks our structure

The issue with Bruno is that his ability with the ball at feet is really quite basic. Plus his decision making has gone to pieces. Can only hope that under a new coach he regains his level. But this past year is probably a reality check as to how good he actually is.
