Needs to recharge, his energy levels still look alright but he’s making poor decisions on the ball.
EPL player of the month doesn't tell anything tbh. We have all been watching him and to say he hasn't been at his best, even since early December, isn't a controversial statement.
No I don't think he misplaced 80% of his long passes. Anyway him misplacing passes is nothing new imo. What make Bruno special is his goal/assist contribution. We've been debating that to death here I think. He misplaced probably 80% of his long passes. He was shit. If the FK had went in, it would have been a bad game with a brilliant moment. Kind of what you expect from world class players.
3 goals and 4 assists in what? 6-7 games. You don’t remember that! That’s very high expectations mate
The problem is he plays with a free role, as opposed to an actual midfielder involved in the possession play.He drops deep plenty of times, no need ro decide anything. He is attacking mid who contributes to both attack and build up play.

He doesn't show the possession play we're supposed to see from midfielders as we hold onto the ball and allow the forwards to organize themselves, because he often makes the same decisions a forward would. But like you said he also drops deep sometimes as though he's part of the midfield.
The split roles doesn't help our midfield play which is usually quite poor (a lot of that thanks to his constant overly ambitious passes), so I'd rather we either play him as a forward or a midfielder. Preferably the former since his overall play isn't as good as his goal contributions.
Needs to stop trying to force the play to a 100 miles an hour or attempting the spectacular every single time.
our midfield play is poor because our 2 cms are poor. That's like placing blame in lacking possession on Bergkamp or Cantona. The problem is he plays with a free role, as opposed to an actual midfielder involved in the possession play.

He is vital indeed and regularly finds ways to affect the scoreline. Like you said he's been sloppier than usual and very moody.A player who isn’t firing on all cylinders but still able to produce 3 goals and 4 assists in December isn’t a bad return! Agree he’s been sloppy in his passing, i hope we rest him (this will hurt my fantasy hopes, but it’s better for him )
Good stats...I’m talking about performances though. He was great against West Ham when he came on but very up and down even during games other than that. Leicester got a goal and an assist, if it’s worth calling an assist, but gifted Leicester an equaliser and wasn’t great during the game. City game from memory he was poor and I think the wolves game also, again an assist but your reaching really to say you’d expect someone to score from the pass....so it goes down on paper. I think he’s been poor for a while, perhaps he’s winning on stats but I’m sceptical
Yeh turning into Stevie me a little, always going for the glory.
stats largely define performances. A player might be poor in a game but score, we’d still say he’s poor. But this can’t go on for a full month. Against city, he was the only player trying to take shots on target and trying to create chances and score. He leads the team in this aspect. The team was generally poor against city for instance; why criticise him? Even today, similar defensive set up which takes away a lot from his game.
i hear your concern, which is valid (again, given bruno’s standards), but i just don’t want us as fans to go harsh on him and forget what he has done for a year now and what he can still offer
After allHe's just out of form.
It happens, he's human
We love an overreaction on here don’t we.
This post is far too balanced. Do you know you are on an online fan forum?
"Bruno his past it. He is too old. Or too young. He thinks he is Messi?!!!11111111!1111
The pressure is always on, we are expected to win every game, and we’ve been doing pretty well at it for a while now.The overreaction was positioning him as some sort of deity. He is a consistent let down when the pressure is on. Some have compared him to KDB.
He wasn't annoyed he was coming of by itself, he clearly looked back and pointed at mct being injured.Indulgent, immature and then petulant at the end
How is he a consistent let down when the pressure is on?The overreaction was positioning him as some sort of deity. He is a consistent let down when the pressure is on. Some have compared him to KDB.

In the posters defence he’s been poor for awhile nowThe pressure is always on, we are expected to win every game, and we’ve been doing pretty well at it for a while now.
He had a bad game, doesn’t make him a problem, it makes him human.
What did the other so called stars do today? Salah, Mane, Rashford etc. It might sound crazy but it’s harder to play against better opponents.
Seriously? A couple of quiet games and he’s poor?In the posters defence he’s been poor for awhile now
He does need to bring more to the team other than flashes of brilliance
I wasn’t criticising him....I’m absolutely fine with him having an off period....just weird that he gets player of the month during it? City he was really poor though sorry. Also you can’t go off stats alone because Luke shaw for example today was our best player but stats won’t tell you that. Maybe their should be a stats award for goals and assists like their is for goals.
