He puts in a couple of average performances, and all of a sudden his shit doesn't stink and he's worth keeping.
FFS our standards and expectaions really have bottomed out

It's ridiculous I've never known a time where so many United fans had lower standards.

Ten Hag wins over game and people want him to stay, Amrabat has one have where he doesn't stink the place out and we have to splash millions in making him permanent.

If Antony scores tomorrow there will be people saying he should start the cup final

We've been poor for about a decade now. A whole generation of football fans are only going to know United as they are currently. This is us for now.

I expect we will see a lot of players back just in time for the cup final.

That being said I still think the top performers in the last game should keep their places. Amad and Amrabat shouldn't be dropped from the team and should get the chance to stake their claim to play in the final.

One swallow doesn't make a summer.
Amad I agree, he's been better than most with his last two games.
Amrabat, meh, blows hot and cold, not consistent enough for me, look at his average rating of 6.3, we should be demanding better than that, he only looks good because most of the players around him are just as bad. (The Caf rating is well below this at 4.9)

    I would do:
    Rashford Hojlund Amad
    Mctominay Amrabat Casemiro
    Dalot Martinez Evans Wan Bissaka
    Onana
Would rest Mainoo, Garnacho and Bruno. Rashford should get the chance to perform to make it into the cup final lineup, between him and Amad. Martinez needs minutes in order to trust him in the cup final.

Last six games away to Brighton:

    0-1
    0-4
    3-2 League Cup
    3-0
    2-3
    0-1

Doesn’t look that great. They‘d want to give De Zerbi a good send-off so I‘m thinking a high scoreline: 3-2 for the home side.

No. Not on TV in the UK I believe.
Every MUFC game is shown live in Albania on satellite for some reason. With English commentary. We must be popular there...

We’re not winning this. But I’m having a revised take on Amrabat. He might be worth keeping if he shows the same level of tenacity as he did in the last game.
    He never has before.

Could it just be that he's fresh having played feck all the opposition have all had a long hard season so he looks ok?

I too think Garnacho would benefit from a rest and maybe Mainoo as well.

I’ve changed my mind on this game since the breaking news of DeZebri leaving. Prior to this I had Utd at best getting a draw but now with this news and Uniteds performance against the Geordies I’m feeling rather bullish and I’m going 1-3 Utd.
Come on United take some good form into next weeks cup final.

Didn't know he's leaving. Was about to take Brighton on Asian Handicap but this changes things.

Hard to find a reason to tune in for this. Been a while since we've played a meaningful match on Championship Sunday.

Sorry to say it, but I'll be flipping back and forth between the City match and the Arsenal match, depending on what's happening in each.
Have zero interest in "title race" which soulless city should wrap up comfortably against West Ham managed by Moyes on his final day with them. What we need to see from United today is plenty putting their hands up for selection for next Saturday's cup final, Brighton manager departure makes things all the more difficult now to get a win now.

Wouldn't the Brighton staff and players be on auto-pilot mode at this point? I'm hoping our PTSD team find some motivation to play well for a starting spot in the FA Cup final. That said our record against Brighton's style of football is dreadful.

    Fully expecting a return to:

    Onana
    Dalot Evans Martinez AWB
    Casemiro
    Garnacho Bruno Mainoo Rashford
    Hojlund
He'll drop Amrabat and Amad who should be building on their recent performances and probably playing a part in the final. Swap Dalot and AWB again just because why not. A return to no midfield and shoehorning Rashford back in the team.

I've heard rumours of Rashford starting which would be a disaster. We're away at De Zerbi's last match and the last chance to prepare for City in the final, playing this game with 10 men would be a really bad idea. We'll get hammered and be low(er) on confidence for the final.

    Onana
    Wan-Bissaka Evans Martinez Dalot
    Casemiro Amrabat
    Bruno
    Amad Hojlund Rashford

I'd probably give Garnacho and Mainoo a rest today and focus on getting players sharp for the final instead.

Maybe not; Garnacho needs a rest badly and Rashford is his deputy as things stand.
