I don't think he will be sacked yet. If he is trusted to bring in players in the next transfer window he can't afford any more mistakes.

I still don't get the lone striker thing, I am not a fan of Balotelli but I can't see playing him up front on his own working ever, it's been plain to see all season.
Complaining of a lack of goals isn't doing the manager any good given the money spent on strikers who either are not playing or who have not been given any game time to make an impact.
Scoring goals isn't the only problem either.

I don't want him gone just yet, but like johnny says any more player purchase mistakes (his biggest achiles heel) then he may not last beyond Christmas. Can't keep blaming the committee for that.

The only problem is there are some stonkingly good managers available this summer (Klopp, Ancelloti, etc). They may or may not want the challenge of managing us but we probably won't see this opportunity again. Makes a change from choosing between Martinez or Rodgers. Its not easy being in FSG's shoes that's for sure.

I know earlier on in this thread, I said I'd be leaning towards sacking him if I was FSG, but then again if I was in FSG'S shoes, I'd maybe contemplate giving him one more year. It's a tough call for FSG.

Whats funny about the Balotelli offside thing is that I distinctly remember early on in the season when people still thought Balotelli might be OK, Rodgers saying something like "Mario told me that he doesn't defend for opposition corners, well he does in this team" - or something like that.......
whoops......

Moyes was bad but Rodgers this season has been ridiculous. Last year was down to a couple of slips but this season has turned into farce and the excuses have become whoppers!! Someone needs to put him out of his misery.

Don't agree with this. They have some good building blocks to improve upon I think (Coutinho, Sterling, Can, Skrtel etc).

Will be interesting to see what happens with Rodgers now. I think there will be a review at the end of the season where they will have to make a choice. If Klopp is available and interested then I would sack Rodgers. If there is no one better then I would stick with him, despite an up and down season.
They have a couple of fine prospects, like Can, and Markovic could be great if he was played as an attacker rather than a wingback or fullback, Brent is well on the way to ruining him.

Sturridge(if fit), Coutinho, Can, Skrtl(kinda), Sakho, Sterling, Henderson, Manquillo, Markovic and Moreno(if he could find consistency) are the bones of a fine squad.

Just needs a goalkeeper, a few pieces of class, and a manager who isn't so far up his own arse he's coming back out his mouth.

I wonder if they will really consider Klopp as their new manager if they don't manage to get into the top 4. I mean realistically speaking I think they are atm right where one would have expected them to be if they hadn't been in the title race last season, especially after they lost the best striker in the league.

The biggest problem for Rodgers this year has been the fact that you did so well last season based on movement and a worldie in Suarez, then after losing him to Barca, went out and bought two static centre forwards who are nowhere near the quality of last years two. In a nutshell that is it. Rodgers is still a talented coach in my opinion and I'd actually be happy if you sacked him.

The transfer policy at Liverpool is the big problem. If you can sort that out, Rodgers is a good bet for you. I don't see Klopp as an option.

I would, but i can also see why they'd give him another season. Next season will make or break him.

It's easy to blame the transfer policy of Liverpool's, but it's astonishing how every single manager there happens to sign so many duds. I mean, having finished 2nd in the PL, you'd really expect star names to be linked with and even some of those brought in to the club. But you hardly ever hear a star name even linked with them! (no, RAWKites wanting to sign Pogba, Vidal, Sanchez and Reus does not count here) They are not that bad financially either and it's often really a case of them spending massive amounts on average players!

We put all our eggs in the Sanchez basket. Our backup basket was Sturridge to remain fit for at least half the season. Both baskets were stolen before we got to market. So yes a big problem with our transfer strategy I agree.

The reason we are financially ok despite the £770m (using that figure for ease rather than accuracy) spent on transfers over the last X number of years is because we're not going out and buying a Pogba, Vidal, etc. Sanchez was our gamble who turned us down. More strikers are (hopefully) available this summer than they were last (Cavani, Tevez, Lavezzi, Depay, etc). Whether we end up with Ings and Austin for £50m is another sorry chapter.

That will only lead to more support for BR, I reckon.

Won't they just accuse this people involved with the banner of being United fans?

 Really, they laughed at our clowns from last season doing that crap and now they planing to do the same ...

Is this real?

The Mancs have done that la. Fans of Liverpool Football Club are far too classy and intelligent.

I do hope this doesn't mean a Brendan Rodgers statue turning up outside OT, the Moyes one last year was the curse that brought Slippy to his knees.

It'd be good if the plane dropped envelopes with Brendan's name written inside them.

Maybe it's the Luftwaffe.

 Surely that account is a Man Utd fan trolling the feck out of Liverpool fans? Imagine it, a United fan getting Liverpool fans to contribute to doing that after the abuse we got last year is just priceless.

That planes performance was outstanding. Had lots of character as it took off. Wee bit unlucky with the noise, but cannot fault it at all.
