Surely to sort these problems out he needs time on the training pitch but he doesn't have that until the new year, between now and 1st Jan they play twice a week, every week or so I think.

Indeed, complete losers' mentality from him and Henderson I thought. Pleased about the game because they "played well".

Rodgers was also pleased with the draw because Ludogrets have great players.

Good to see Gerrard getting another 90 minutes, you could tell he needed that. Still a bit sluggish but he will surely shake that off with another 90 mins on saturday, at his age you want to be playing every game possible. Will be interesting to see how this young talent turns out.

Landlord.

Rodgers:

"More like it. Wonderful character tonight. We really needed a team that was together and we got that. The characterisation of the team was really on show. Great effort tonight from the players. We were outstanding.

We spoke before the game about this being the night to change our season. We showed wonderful resilience, kept our focus in the game and scored two good goals.

I picked players who I know what they're capable of. In time the new players will adapt to how we work but we've set a standard here - and we were very good tonight.

Overall the performance was very, very pleasing."

Worse than Moyes. This season he's been like a hybrid of Moyes and Hodgson. One good performance all season (Spurs away).

Fraudgers indeed.

Indeed

Every fecking interview he says the same thing! "Great performance" "showed character"

I know he's trying to defend his players but feck me it's gone overboard now, he's losing his mind to me

"I thought the performance tonight was excellent, we showed great character to get back into the game in the first half" - Rodgers on RTE just now

Is he fecking retarded?

They were ok actually. Was flicking between them and Arsenal so can't be too sure. They were playing fecking Ludogrets though. Goals aside, I only saw the home keeper make one save.
Ah. I expected them to bottle it against Ludogrets, regardless how shit Ludogrets are.

No chance. I watched the whole game, Ludogrets had a bunch of chances that were missed. Gerrard ended up as a striker.

A draw was as good as a win once Basel lost.

Either way they have to win the final game.

Still the performance was awful against a minnow. No offense to Ludogrets fans.

Also they brought on a sub called Wanderson.

That was a joke by Steve...I think. Sad thing is even I have my doubts.

Feck me. Standards really have dropped there.

A narrow defeat to Madrid and a draw to Ludogerets being hailed.

Tbf they gave Madrid a very tough game too and Madrid were very lucky to get away with anything. The referee made some decisions that benefitted Madrid greatly(such as a penalty being wrongly given to Madrid and a penalty wrongly not given to Ludogrets) and without them Madrid would not have taken all 3 points. They were Madrid's toughest game in the group stage without a doubt this season.

Rodgers talking shit as usual but apart fron Souness, Sky have seemed a bit too keen to talk this performance up.

Christ, did Liverpool really just draw against Ludacris? That goal for 2:2, incredible how fecking shit they are at defending set pieces. Literally every single red jersey there's standing in the box looking stupid.

Just seen Rodgers' quotes and I seriously can't tell if it's Steve's trolling there or if Brenton's gone full retard.

Christ almighty they're all deluded. The fans, the player, the manager, the media. Jesus.
Liverpool are downright awful, need a serious reinvestment in their squad and better tactics. And yet they act as if tonight was a massive step forward?
:rolleyes::lol::lol::lol:

Massive investment? You do know how much Brenda has spent in the last couple of years?

Fine, more intelligent spending. They need a decent CB, DM and probably a striker too. That's a lot to invest in January if they want to salvage something from this season.
