Wow :lol: just wow :lol::lol:

Didn't this clown have a go at Mourinho after the defeat at Anfield saying that it's easy to coach and play defensively.

Well if it's so easy how come your team is so crap at it?

And he has Madrid up next... hope Ronnie scores a hat trick!

He half went to do the same celebration when Liverpool almost scored early on in the game

Christ he really thinks a lot of himself!
Me thinks that ego of his is heading for a fall, bar a dramatic turnaround!

He really needs to use the squad better than he has done so far. Gerrard can't play midweek matches after playing the weekend and Sterling looks like he needs a bit of a break too.

Quack quack, this charlatan is fast being found out.

One thing you could say in his defence is that he hasn't had to replace such an influential player before and build a squad to compete in four competitions. However you could also say everyone saw them struggling with Europe and replacing Suarez.

Will be difficult for them to get back in if they fall out. Where does he find another Suarez? His record in the market has been pretty shit as well so far.

Anyone with half a brain could have told you before he bought every single one of his tranfer targets that they weren't going to get them anywhere.

Moreno looks to be the only one that he didn't over spend on.

Agree. He looks like he'll be a good player. I'm surprised they have fallen over this quickly though, thought Rodgers still had enough ability and talent in the squad to fight for top four (that still may happen though; just doesn't look good at the moment).

How long before they turn on Rodgers and start saying he was made to look good by a player bought by King Kenny, la? #YAWN

I reckon 7th, dismal Europa League run and no cups and it'll have begun.

We're only a point ahead of them, having played the easier games so far. Mustn't look good for our top 4 hopes either then.

The counter argument is that United have actually shown sides of progress this season compared to last and do look a better side. Liverpool look a lot lot worse than they did last year. Carragher was right last night when he said the loss of Suarez (and Sturridge to injury which was always going to happen) greatly affect their attack which it would to anyone. You can't replace that quality really so the next best thing to do would be improve their defence which was poor last season....he hasn't done that either it still looks as bad. Rodgers has to take the blame for it, he's either bought poor players or his system/training methods don't work. I don't rate Balotelli at all but to be fair to him anyone who thought he'd be Suarez's level is a bit strange. If they got the defence playing a bit steady they could afford to not score as many goals, as it happens their defence is just as bad and their attack is much worse. United haven't been brilliant I agree but it's better than it was.

I can't stand Rodgers, ever since that Being Liverpool stuff I thought he was an idiot. Even then before he had any success he just had this thing about him where he hadn't actually won anything but had an opinion of himself where he was this history making manager. There's nothing wrong with confidence or even arrogance when you've got the history to be able to use it. Rodgers didn't and just came across as a tit. He is perfect for Liverpool though because a lot of their fan base will gravitate to someone like that. He panders to them perfectly...even the other week he was talking about the "weight of the shirt" and all this shite. He bought himself a bit of time as they did well last season but I'd imagine once he runs out of his Brent style lines and they're still struggling he will start to be questioned.

Like David Moyes Rodgers has no reputation or experience of managing a top CL team, don't think he's won a trophy either?

I still think he's a bit young and inexperienced to be mixing it with the top managers. People point to last year but he had Suarez playing to a Ballon d'or level who shared a wonderful chemistry with Sturridge, on top of that he had Gerrard playing out of his skin. With Suarez gone and Gerrard on his last legs the core of his team is destabilised.

Also the likes of Mignolet, Henderson and Continho who were punching well above their weight last season are looking to be going down their usual mediocre ways, it's more difficult playing in a team low on confidence and struggling form.

Also some of his transfers are questionable but maybe down to Liverpool not being able to attract the type of talent needed to replace the likes of Suarez (they went for Sanchez and Falcao but couldn't land either). Will be interesting to see how they get on when Sturrdge comes back but if i was a betting man i wouldn't be surprised if Rodgers is not at the club in 2 years time.

The one positive they have is Sterling continuing his development, but if Liverpool carry on as they are he won't be around for long.

Bit harsh, Henderson has still been good and Coutinho is clearly very talented. Mignolet is proper average though.

Henderson reminds me of Fletcher. Not that talented but his application and team awareness elevate him. However, like Fletcher, if his form drops down a notch he doesn't have any skill or pace to fall back on.

Coutinho is certainly talented, but I've yet to see him dominate a game when it matters. Classic Liverpool player - better than most of the league, not good enough to play for the best teams.

Have to agree with this, I'm not even sure what Henderson actually excels at, has a great engine you could say.

Players are transformed by confidence. Decent players like Henderson look fantastic when they're brimming with it and look hopeless when they lack it. I always say that the the most important quality a great player has is consistency. Great players play well week in, week out for years. Loads of players can have spells here and there where they look like world beaters, but it's only the truly great players who can do it season after season. Suarez had a massive effect on the squad last season. He won games on his own and that allowed the rest of the team to take risks with their play that they can't pull off now that he's gone.

They have so many average players and they don't have a world class striker to make great runs, close down defenders, chase lost causes and score goals out of thin air. They're screwed and it's no wonder they're linked with the likes of Higuain and Benzema right now.

Fletcher? Really?

Henderson has still been good for them despite their failings, at least what I've seen. He also has an eye for a killer pass that I've never seen from Fletcher.

Really? In 08-09 & 09-10 I would say he was as good as any player in our squad.
