I don't really care how you feel about Embolo but lingard is absolutely rubbish imo. Offers nothing.. I don't actually slag off our own players but lingard shouldn't be in our team. Happy he scored our winner but sell him this window
don't care how you feel about lingard but you look like total ignorant or just eejit by saying such stuff:wenger:

Haven't seen much of him but not too many rave reviews on here. We need an established RW not another youngster.

Don't want. Rashford, Periera, Janujaz are all far better than him, tbf i don't even rate Lingard but even he is better.

You lot are nuts, the pitch is awful and he's against a very physical French team. Sure he's not perfect but he's clearly very talented.

Swear some of you expect them to be ronaldo level at 18/19

When has he shown himself to be very talented outside of youtube videos?

But technically he's displaying very little potential. People keep using the word "raw," but that's surely not the right word. Ronaldo was raw when he came to Utd. He had all the talent, but lacked the experience and needed to harness the talent. This kid doesn't look raw, he looks limited.

It really looks like he should still learn some of the basics of technique. He's still very young of course but I'm not sure Manchester United can afford to pay such a huge amount of money for someone who's clearly very uncomfortable on the ball.

Based on what? Genuine question.

His technical ability is frankly incredibly low based on this tournaments showing. Shouldn't be paying a penny for him. He's clumsy and he looks worse than Zaha.

If he is going into the U-21's fine, as a starter or even squad player, no way. We have kids at the club already who deserve a chance before him.

He may be talented and I'm not going to pretend I have watched any of his matches aside from at the Euros but for anyone to seriously suggest that he is really talented based on those performances is laughable. He's quick and strong but those attributes aren't particularly rare and they're definitely not enough on their own to be a top player.

All this pitch is awful garbage, he should try and play on some of the pitches I had to!

This guy's stock has taken a hammering since people started watching his games and not just youtube highlight reels.

Maybe worth a punt of a few Million pounds on his pace and physical attributes alone. However, the numbers quoted seem insane from his showings at Euros.

Seems like the overuse of the word raw in football was just too waste time till he came along ...it's so hard to think of any other words to describe him.. His first touch looks non existent and his second touch seems to be running into other players which he does a lot.

Hopefully this tourney hasn't seen the real him yet

If someone like Berahino was Swiss, I bet play for the their national team and have scored more goals than Embolo in Swiss league.

To be fair, some of the more established players have looked ordinary.

I wasn't sold on his youtube vids either.

I thought he looked good in the videos that were all his best moments in one clip. But those are obviously a joke for assessing players. In the ones that showed all his touches from a particular game his technical ability looked very questionable and this tournament has just confirmed it.

Needs to spend a lot less time in the gym and a lot more time working with the ball imo.

I've changed my opinion on him....he is worse than i thought #donkey #pileofs**t

Surely the "raw" anology means like having all the ingredient/attributes, but they haven't been cooked/developed yet. Embolo doesn't look like he has the ingredients to be a great player.

Really ineffective, subbed off. Cannot see anything in him would make him any good, just about average.

No use judging him based on this tournament. Greizmann for instance looks completely lost
