The Barcelona player Bojan Krkic, currently on loan to Milan until the end of the season, is "weighing up" what is "best for his future", according to what the player's father said on Thursday.
In a statement given to the 'La Xarxa' programme, the player's father, who is also called Bojan, said that his son is "in a good situation".
"He's a Barça player on loan to Milan, with all the difficulties that it entails. Bojan is considering what is best for his future," he remarked. He claims his son is "quite happy" at Milan, in a "big" club, which plays "competitive football", and that he is "treated very well" in a "beautiful city".
It is essentially a question of money. In the agreement reached by the two clubs there is an option to buy for €15 million at the end of the current season - a figure that Milan is unwilling to fork out. A few days ago, during a broadcast by 'Catalunya Ràdio' it was claimed that Milan was interested in keeping Bojan, as long as the price was €5 million. "This is a matter for Adriano Galliani, Milan vice-chairman, and Sandro Rosell, Barcelona chairman, to agree on," Bojan senior concluded.
How did he go this season?
I always was convinced that Bojan will become a world beater and probably the best in the world. Don't know what went that wrong for him.
Extremely poor and could barely get a game. Not sure how many goals he got but I would imagine it was no more than 5 or 6.
Is it true that Barcelona have to buy him back for 13 Million? I could have sworn that Andersred wrote about this deal as the best deal in the history of best deals because Barcelona could 'amortize' some shit. How did that turn out then?
Still profiting off that deal although they need someone to pick up his contract or he'll have to take a paycut - either way, the club will profit a bit more on this once hyped cantera kid
I actually never understood the hype surrounding him.
I think it was his body that stopped him making it to be one of the greats he was predicted to be. He is too small and his skills are specifically for the no.9 role anywhere else he just doesn't have the skillset to play and who will play him as a 9?? He doesn't offer enough outside goals.
He is mentally weak
He is mentally weak
thanks
It's true, at least from my point of view. Some athletes have those personalities that thrive being in a position to be the hero, some shirk from it. Bojan is among the latter. Has a nose for goal, dribbling ability and good ability to read the game. If he had better speed, he'd probably be a minimum €20 million player but his speed is merely adequate.
You lot proclaimed him to be the next Messi.Still profiting off that deal although they need someone to pick up his contract or he'll have to take a paycut - either way, the club will profit a bit more on this once hyped cantera kid
You lot proclaimed him to be the next Messi.
Of course not.I'd never be that daft to call anyone the next Leo, least of all a doe eyed lamb like Krkic
Some weird career this kid has had.
I'm comparing his attacking qualities with Brown - he's much better than Brown in defence, but he's been shocking in attack for months now.
I agree with you about Barcelona btw. as I've also mentioned on here myself quite a few times - all teams would look mediocre in attack with the likes of Giovani, their lack of depth really hurt them, and they should have kept Giuly knowing that Eto'o would be missing because of ANC - Rijkaard has shown Giovani too much faith and I actually think it's done him more bad than good - he's not looked the part at all, it's almost embarrassing.
Giovani's secure place in the team meant that the opponents could more or less focus entirely on Messi which is also why he's looked below par in a lot of his matches since his injury.
Bojan has definitely got potential, but he's also lacked a bit of strength in a lot of the games, and it's hurt Barca they they've played with those two teenagers, it meant their attack looked like Liverpool's.
It will however all change now that Eto'o and Ronaldinho are back. We saw how Messi suddenly came to life again with the likes of Ronaldinho and Eto'o next to him in attack, it created much more space for him, as the opponents suddenly had their hands full and couldn't mark Messi with 3 men like some of the Spanish teams has done since the new year begun.
I also don't understand Rijkaard's reluctance to use Iniesta for a while, and when he's finally used him then it's often been in obscure positions like the holding midfield. He was Barca's best player for large parts, and I'm quite sure he'd have been able to do a better job than Giovani even if it meant putting him out on the flank - though to be fair, even Richardson could have done a better job than Giovani.
Barca has however been lucky that last minute goals, bad refereeing and laziness by Real has prevented them from falling further behind.
I remember having a big discussion with Glaston, when Spurs signed Dos Santos. I swore Dos Santos would never make it as he was an overrated, overhyped mediocre player. That's surprising. When they both broke through Dos Santos looked the better player to me, less consistent but more natural talent than Bojan. Bojan on the other hand looked decent but never stood imo
