I remember him being whistled in the u21 Euro back in 08 I think.

He has talent but his presence on the pitch is almost non existent.

He's so small, weak and not even that fast.
He needs a smaller club at which he can play reguarly. That way he will get stronger and fitter. He is a good player but not the world beater many claimed he would become. At Barca the others are too good for him and his confidence has taken a huge knock as a result.

I thought he was going to go to Valencia when Villa went the other way, but the poor lad really thinks he can break into the first team for Barca.

It's sad to see.

He should have gone and grown up.

The arrival of Villa and Messi becoming a center forward is what finished him. Just before Zlatan left for Milan, Bojan looked like a chance to do a Pedro had opened up for him. I'm sure he is now convinced he has to go with Rossi most likely going to arrive.

Good player, but he offers us nothing different to what we already have with Hernandez, Rooney, Owen, Berba, etc. Physically weak and not very good in the air so i don't see him being successful in England.

good move for young lad. is there a buy back clause for baca?

Weird transfer this
Roma pay €12m to get him on a 2 year deal
Barca HAVE to pay €13m at the end of it to take the player back but if Roma want him, they can tell barca to feck off by paying an extra €28m

:wenger:

So this is almost certainly going to be a loan deal for which Barca will pay Roma €1m to take their player for 2 seasons.. but get €12m now which they will return

Dont think Roma will end up paying €40m for him..
But what if he flops badly and Barca dont want him back. They'll probably offer him shit wages so he turns them down and stays at Roma..

weird shit

Guessing Barca would have first dibs if that were to happen

Like they will pay 28 mill. for him. Really strange. Loan deal would have done.

Really? Do you think he the will end up paying €40m for Bojan?

Which will allow Barca to make the first payment on Sanchez, without having to break into the Fabregas money, that way if Sanchez doesn't work out they can bring him back and offload Alexis.

Hugh? No I'm not. Maybe I'm lost us in translation but I wanted to indicate that there is no way they will pay like 40 mill. for him.

I rate him, apart from physicality he has everything going for him.

Everything? Barcelona don't want him. Roma don't want him. Something else is up with him. Perhaps he's not a hard worker. Don't remember him being that at Barcelona at least.

Klopp is a fan if I'm not mistaken and he could probably get the best out of him. Bojan has 2 major problems.

1. The Barcelona coaches (Pep at Barca, Lucho at Roma) are still trying to turn him into an inside-forward on the wing in a 4-3-3 false 9 system. When in reality he's a central striker and not a winger.

2. His second name is "sadbrows".

He's a super emotional kid and gets sulky pretty fast.

He's not as much of a failure as people make out though. The hype ("second Messi") didn't help but 7 goals in his first season in Italy out-of-position from the wings and as a bench player is not that bad (scored against both Milan clubs). Roma's top scorer has 11 goals. In a different system he can turn into a 20 goals a season striker if his balls drop and he gets utilised propery (as a striker, not a winger). Still 21. Dortmund would be perfect. They will need another striker with Barrios leaving if they want to compete on all 3 fronts.

Homeo

You disappoint.

When I saw your name on the front page in this thread I was expecting to see a GIF of Bojan doing that naff skill for Barca a few years back, you know the one where the camera then pans to Ronaldinho who looks kind of underwhelmed.

Aye this one.

I didn't post that because I still believe that it is a failed backheel pass and not a skill. :D

Points I agree with, completely...You can't score some 1,000 youth goals and not be a bonafide goalscorer...He has some confidence issues and has been played out of position...I do think he buckled from the pressure & expectations, unfairly, that was placed on him...I love the idea of Dortmund for him really but I can't imagine his wages would fit into their club's wage structure...I thought Serie A would be a good place for him only because it would toughen him up a bit...Even Lucho now being gone is actually a good thing because that eliminates the protective bubble he had there as well

People are quick to forget that he's only 22 still, 2 years younger than Chicharito...He has time but his development has definitely been stunted, all the more important that his next move is a good one...The transfer to Roma included a mandatory buyback for the club that kicks in next summer which suggests he's coming back to the club as I initially predicted...Another Primera team could work like Los Che, Sevilla or similar...Wages would probably have to be divided between the clubs

Officially loaned to Milan for 1 year.

Ibrahimovic successor. Where have I seen that one before?

Looks to of packed on some muscle, always thought he was a little lightweight.

Wonder where that leaves poor oul pato, I think a change of club would do him the world of good. Looks to have stagnated at Milan for the last while. Shame really exceedingly talented.

Yep. Will be interesting to see how he does for Milan. They traditionally play a 2-striker-system. That should fit Bojan perfectly. Never been a winger in the first place.

Bojan-Pato. FM 08 muppet dreams.

He's injured. Again. As always.
