Bluemoon goes into Meltdown

I haven't read the whole thread, but I don't think there are many on here who think it's already done and dusted. Our last home game emphasized the small margins between winning and dropping points in an "easy" fixture. All they need is one slip-up from us other than the derby, where anything can happen and we'll all be made to look silly.

BUT, it's not the gloating levels here that are funny, but the apparent meltdown at COMS, where from the manager to the tea lady they all seem to have accepted that they already blew it.

The same for the Blackburn game - DDG made some crucial saves before Valencia invented that goal 10 min from time. Every fixture is like a final from now on.

We havent won it yet. They havent lost it yet.
I get them getting nervy.. why the feck are we getting cocky? We've lost it from here before and come back to win it from where City are.

Wait till its over.

I totally agree with these posts. We will end up looking completely stupid if we fail to win. And my one criticism of Sir Alex (minor compared to his achievements) is that sometimes he will take the foot of the gas when he thinks that we've already won. It's the same as sometimes under-estimating your opponents as we often do in cups and in Europe, for instance, this year.

We can easily lose from this point so the team must remain focussed or else it would be embarrassing, not to say disappointing.

Let's not forget that despite our 5 point lead there are still 7 games (21 points) left.

i feel a lot will change around the caf if city take 3 points from the game at the emirates
agree

in fact i think it will put pressure on the team as well let alone the caf

winning games you are expected to lose and, as we saw with city last week, dropping points where you expect 3 always has a psychological impact

Won't change much except take the shine off some cocky twats.
This thing ain't over until all teams have played 38 games.

Newcastle won well at Swansea. 56 points to Arsenal's 58.
If Chelsea and Spurs win tomorrow (even if Spurs tie) the Arse will be under immense pressure.

If we beat QPR - not guaranteed but a decent bet, the Emirates game is feckin' huge for both clubs.

The Arse have previous on buckling under pressure - League Cup Final last year as the most recent example.

Citeh must surely redeem themselves after their recent wobble.

Wouldn't surprise me in the least to see 'em getting a result in Norf London.

Praying for a loss or tie - but not holding my breath.

Their fans, on the other hand, well, they've been crying since Swansea scored.

Come on, somebody on here has to have registered. Post us some good ones!

Holy feck seeing as there is a Bluemoon shut down I may as well provide some entertaining comments from bitters on facebook or a bitter I know

"we didnt buy enough refs"

"football is fixed"

"the officials have done everything to keep united in it since september"

"offsides against us, penos against us, red cards against us, goals wrongly given against us but not the same for them"

"season has been completely fixed"

I love watching an angry bitter go off on a rant!

Conspiracy!!:lol::lol:

This is where being a London United fan is a good thing, all I'm seeing is Arsenal fans enjoying the city downfall.

Wait, it's saying I'm already registered.

In the 'Hypothetical scenario: guard of honour' thread, asking if they should do one if we've clinched by then:

I could see a full scale riot happening if we were held to this

I would expect the Club to consult the police and insist this is not allowed to happen on safety grounds. If there is any chance it was to happen we the fans should contact the club in numbers and request it dosn't happen.

God forbid if the club would be held to this. If they did they should refuse and take any punishmment. To put the fans through that would be unforgivable. The best alternative would be the fans turning the backs on them.

am i feck clapping them. would rather slit my throat.

I just could not clap them, never in a million years, I feel sick at the thought that we were ahead almost all season and blown it at the end.

I'd puke all over the poor guy in front of me

What I would hope though is that we put on some player bonuses for how many rag twats legs we can break in the game, like in the NFL.

I'd love it if we finished the game with only a couple of players left having taken the record for most red cards in a game.

Post Game thread:

You gutless shithouses....where was the passion...where was the pride, the fight, the desire to win.
Where was the togetherness we've heard so much about. Where was the bottle. Where was the spirit.

Kompany and Lescott excepted...take a good hard look at yourselves. That was unacceptable.
Enjoy your money.

Today was his resignation. Leaving Balotelli on the field was a disgraceful decision which I can only assume he made as a form of punishment for those above his head who don't want his protege around any longer. When asked if he thinks the FA should look at it - he says "I hope." Just brilliant. Bizarre. Are you actually trying to sabotage our season Roberto?

Anyone else in utter disbelief that this squad managed a mere 2 shots on target against bloody arse?

Roberto clearly has no idea what to do with this team. He has been panicked and the team reflects it. AND I'm sick of the shyt talk that we are not ready to win the Prem. Look at the fyking squad. Give this team to Fergie and he'd be 20 points clear at the top right now FFS!

They're cracking up they're cracking up!

The gooners said you can't buy class on their banner , I say you can't buy chemistry, composure or experience. Citeh will probably say they can't buy the ref's!

Poor guys. Imagine living under the shadows of your rivals for 30 years. Imagine suddenly having a team capable of winning the league mainly because you've lucked into having rich owners. Imagine smashing your rivals 6-1 at their ground enroute to opening up a 5 point lead and a lead of 20 odd goals.

Then imagine your rivals slowly eat away at the lead and goal difference week after week as the new year dawns and make the deficit into a commanding 8 point lead with 6 games to go.

Poor City. They always manage a way to feck things up.

Before our game against Aston Villa at Villa Park back in early December we were eight point behind City (who had just beat Norwich 5-1 right before we kicked off) and the game was basically a must-win. We won the game - and hardly ever looked back. City's record after 14 games was 12 wins and 2 draws... while we got 46 points from our next 18 games, City only got 33 (10W, 3D, 5L).
Their perfect start to the season really kept them going long, but Mancini's bizarre team selections (playing his first team in pretty much every game) has finally caught up with them. Silva is fecked since Christmas, he isn't the same player anymore and Kompany can't carry them on his own.

I agree he made a huge mistake in continuing to play Silva instead of giving him time off to heal. Now, it may turn out he has an injury that needs surgery but would have put him out for the rest of the season so he decided to play through it, like Ronaldo did in 2007-8. If so then it's not a mistake by Mancini. But considering Mancini's overuse of all the main players, it makes me think he simply was impatient to keep him in the team and didn't let him get back to 100%

I think that's a lesson SAF learned a long time ago, let players heal and get back into shape before playing them. In the 6 years I've been watching the only time he made that mistake was bringing Rooney back against Bayern in 2009-10.
