Bluemoon goes into Meltdown

Respected Swansea more than Barcelona. How the feck would he know that? They've never played Barcelona.
Ouch. Well they did win that pre-season friendly against Barca when Hughes was around.

Next TEN years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Err, I don't think so. We are not Arsenal. It's about the here and now.

This is the WORST Man United I have ever seen. Their European campaign is a true reflection of their level. If we can't win against them now we never will. It's a disgrace they are level with us. Get ** head out of the clouds.
Good lord, if this is the worst United side what does that say about the rest? :wenger:

Relief? It sounds like the pressure of a title race with us must have been unbearable for them. Not to worry, we've taken their pain away now. No more tears needed.

I agree with him in part. Not on the 'worst United side everrrr' nonsense, but it is a side in transition.

I genuinely think we will get a LOT better over the next two or three seasons, when the likes of DDG, Evans, Smalling, Jones, Rafael, Fabio, Cleverley, Pogba, Welbeck and Hernandez have had time to gain experience and mature.

With FFP, will City be able to spend what is required to keep with us when we start to fill in the blanks?

Think Pogba's off to Juve mate but I agree with the rest. Definsively we are sorted for a good few years.

DDG
Rafael Jones/Smalling Evans Fabio

:D

Some on there are pining for Tevez to be brought back in to save the title.

It could be the unsettling effect of a Tevez return that costs them the title.
In some ways similar to their purchase of Rodney Marsh in the sixties

Even their supporters are crumbling under the pressure. If we win this title it might just top 2009 when we beat the scousers!

Nah, 2009 was magnificent. The run-in was very exciting. Macheda's winner, Rafa's 'fachts list' aka meltdown, Arshavin's magnificent four, Ronaldo's passion and counting and putting up five fingers when he finally scored the winner.

It could be, but it could also be that Tevez coming back fixes on of their problems recently. They've not managed to score in a couple of recent matches and if theres one thing Tevez can certainly do for them, its score goals consistantly.

That team was built for Europe. We were ruthlessly efficient in the PL but we rarely played that well. The thing I remember most with that season with the CL tie with Arsenal where we destroyed them over two legs

we're top because of corrupt officials and we're obsessed with them

I thought I was on Rawk for a minute

Haha, some of the desperate comments on there are shocking. This one defeat seems to have predictably killed off all of the fans' hope of winning the league.

I'm enjoying Mancini's mind games.

United will win at Spurs, I'm not good at math but 99 points should be enough

WTF is this shit.

they have been 2nd for 5 months? there ONE point infront with 10 games to go? What will win utd the title is the corrupt officials and refs not there football!!! If Utd had scored the same goal as richards did i guarantee it would have stood.

It's great isn't it. Owned by a billionaire, splashing out cash like he needs new expensive footballers just to survive, and yet we are the ones apparently trying to buy the league.

What, like Hernadez's goal that was ruled out against Newcastle because it was correctly offside. What about the penalty that was awarded to Newcastle when Ferdinand clearly played the ball?!

Selective memories are rife in Stockport, as usual.

That's always confused me, if it was a case of being able to buy the league, we could never even hope to match Chelsea or City.

It's not like illegal bribes have to pass FFP regs.

My favourite episode of this was the RAWK poster that lamented about United buying the refs, not because he disapproved, because Liverpool no-longer bought referee's. Like no-one, not even them, has ever won anything legitimately, football is just a facade, the real game is the bribe fencing behind the scenes.

If some of them idiots truly believe (and some of them really do) United buy matches , why do they bother watching the league and supporting their teams ? After all, it's all predicted in advance right ?
I don't understand the stupidity it can take one to claim that United buys matches and then be hoping to see your team win. It's a lost battle

This one's funny:

If we win the league I'm all fine about them winning at our place 0-9 with rooney scoring all 9 which includes .
1 left foot 1 right and a diving header all inside the box.
The second 3 being an overhead from the half way line into the top corner off his boot not his shinpad, a throwin to himself which he flicks and volleys into the other top corner and his third which he picks it up in their box dribbles arounds all our players 4 times nutmegging kompany twice, the last being he does the cross bar challenge from the halfway line running under the ball and as it hits the cross bar and back arses it into the net.
The other 3 would be pens

Yeah that would be just about be alright if we win the league

I like this 'it's about the next ten years' approach they're now resorting to. It's even better than Liverpool's 'there's always next year'.

But it was also about this year and the ones before. If we take the title this year, that's Fallen Empire United 2 - Sheikhy City 0. Bit of catching up to do there already. Tick tock, Bluemoon, tick tock.

This one's funny:

And it's actually fair because it also shows that 6-1 won't be all that meaningful to him if they lose the league. Most Liverpool fans used 4-1 as a proof of supremacy even though they lost the league in the end.

It's kinda ironic - Chelsea have tried everything to make themselves self-supporting after claiming they would be breaking-even within 5 years.

Is it 8.5 (?) years after Abramovich arrived - they are nowhere near their goal. And on top of that, they have:

a) no manager
b) a bunch of over-aged players who are over the hill, but still are their key-players (Lampard, Terry, Cole, Drogba)
c) a bunch of players whose salaries far exceed their qualities (Torres, Essien)
d) spent a fortune on managers - most clubs do it on players - I read somewhere that Chelseas firing and hiring of managers had cost them about £50-60 million.
e) and this one is bad - limited chances of reaching the C.L next year - which will more or less guarantee that they fail to meet the requirements for Financial Fair Play

And this brings us elegantly onto the subject of City - how do they seriously expect to manage in 2 seasons what Chelsea failed to do in 8 seasons ?

I mean sure - they can win some trophies - but their income can't possibly rise to the same level as their wages do short term - and hence they can not expect to manage the requirements for FFP

Isn't that when the Sheikh employs his own cosy sponsorship deals for all things City, though?
