Bluemoon goes into Meltdown

Looks like some sort of twink film cover pose, let's call it Haaland's Tunnel.

What's in the bottle, Noel?

How spoilt do you need to be as a fanbase to go that crazy over a bad patch after everything they've won in the last decade?

Then again, we used to have folk on this forum saying Ferguson had lost it and needed to go back in 01/02 and 04/05 seasons.

You answered your own question

Do you think that was bad ? It was a lot worse during the summer of 95 when we sold Ince, Hughes and Kanchelskis without replacing them - there were a lot of fans wanting Ferguson fired BEFORE the season har started

I watched the game at their hospitality offering yesterday, and it was seriously jarring how odd that club and stadium is compared to visiting Old Trafford. The way they have a hype man outside the stadium announcing and bigging up all of their players as they get off the bus, occasionally adding ‘they really hate United!’ After announcing certain players.

The whole thing felt extremely tacky and forced. It’s the polar opposite of attending Old Trafford, or even Stamford Bridge, where everything is fairly understated.

The hospitality section itself was incredibly swanky. My mate whispered to our waitress ‘he’s a United fan, by the way’ to try and wind me up. She replied by saying ‘don’t worry, most of the staff here are too’
Why does this feel like a Bluemoon post?

It says a lot that whenever United advertise a role, apparently they are inundated with applications from people who work at City.
Many people in hospitality work at both stadiums then go off to the do the golf, horse racing, Wimbledon, cricket test matches in the summer. It’s a rare way to earn big in a generally low paying Industry. I only managed 4 months at City it was too weird, it's mostly seen as the low point on the circuit.

Why does this feel like a Bluemoon post?
I felt like a blue mooner when I posted it, to be honest.

I will say that the service and the staff were brilliant in the dining area. It’s amazing what money can buy!

Edit: the rest is true though. I couldn’t get over how funny the whole ‘he REALLY hates United’ bit was. Also, Giorgi Kinkladze was there promoting his own wine.

I am guessing what they’re hoping for is to probably attack the players. It’s quite funny to imagine Ol Bazza from down at the pub trying to fight Haaland or Walker
You’ve only got to touch foreheads with Walker and he goes down like a sack of potatoes.

Are we allowed to use chatGPT to make fun of their downfall?

If so, I liked what it produced (in W.B. Yeats' style):

The Fall of the Sky Blues

Upon the Etihad, where banners flew,
The azure dream once proudly grew.
Yet whispers now of tarnished gold,
A tale of power bought and sold.
A hundred charges, fifteen more,
Knock heavy on the heaven's door.
No song of triumph, no victor’s cheer,
But echoes steeped in doubt and fear.
Haaland spoke of staying meek,
Though thunder danced upon his cheek.
A giant framed in flesh and bone,
Yet pride unravels thrones of stone.
And Pep, the master, bald and bright,
Who shaped the game with genius’ might,
Now wears the mask of fate's cruel jest,
A fraud, they cry, who failed the test.
The wheel turns fast, the fates conspire,
Dreams reduced to smoldering fire.
Oh mighty City, built so high,
Did none foresee the fall nearby?
For all the riches you have sown,
The world demands you stand alone.
In humble hearts, the truth does burn:
Greatness gained must be greatness earned.

Yes I remember it very well, my first United match was 1987 so I've been around the block a bit when it comes to good and bad times

Make it a point to avoid toxicity in my life. And a group of entitled brats called city fans together is just that.

But that said , their meltdown over the loss is epic. Hope the lot get relegated twice and their titles stripped.

Let me just add that it is not going to get better for City anytime soon and it will be glorious to watch. They lost the aura and teams will not be afraid to go for their throats.

Regarding their team. Charges and loss of motivation are impacting them. De Bruyne is finished. Gundogan also. Outside of Doku they don't have anyone who can take on a fullback. Foden and Silva are nothing to be afraid of. Halaand without service is Andy Carrol level.

But above everything else I was telling some of my mates when Rodri got injured how profoundly this will impact City and I was right. No Rodri no party. He is absolutely essential to them.

Now let's sit back and enjoy the colapse.

Will watch them with interest to see what will come first, Rodri returning from injury or Pep will finally loose his shit and be hospitalized.
