Bluemoon goes into Meltdown

Bore off guys can we go back to laughing at the weirdos on that site.
I love how they got so annoyed with Paul Merson saying Citys place is never full (which is true) and that Sunderland pack out the SoL quite regular, that during todays game they actually checked how full it was and posted in the "Paul Merson" thread.

Sad, sad, sad bitter humans/non humans

Close, but no cigar.

Closer to 1b not 2b. And that's not spent just on the team... you may have seen some architecture, landscape and investment rising in the east?

Still, not bad considering the barriers raised by the cosy cartel.

And I think it's a bit overly optimistic (but thank you) to think that 8.5 (not 10) years ago, starting from not much (im sure you remember the positions in 1997-98) to expect instant success against the stacked deck.

I'd agree in the past 2 years though, should have been out of sight. :-(

Anyway mustn't grumble, what's the spend (from a position of complete controlling dominance and power for 25 years) of united in the past 3 years now? Oh yes almost 0.5b since the last title http://www.transferleague.co.uk/manchester-united/english-football-teams/manchester-united-transfers.
Puts the 1b over 8.5 years from a position of nowhere, in context really.
Everything besides the team was free? It's almost 1b for the past 9 years just on transfers for players. Around 800m net spend.

United's spending for the past 3 years is 400m. 250m net spend.

How did his love for football survive this?

Sometimes, just every now and then, it's almost as if these conspiracy nuts are the ones trying to drive an agenda...

That's a grown man, like a full grown up man, with maybe a job, probably a wife and kids posting that. It's so fecking embarrassing, some of them need to get a fecking grip. Watched football for 50 years but a ref having a stinker in a middle of season 1-1 draw between United and Bournemouth is what turns him away from the game  The state of that place. What makes it even funnier is that it's not even close to the worse piece of refereeing that's gone in our favour at Old Trafford this season.

I don't even understand the end game of it all, like what is the point? Every time city are on the end of a bad decision or United benefit from one, there's a mass of city posters on bluemoon who are now "done with the game", I'm surprised they even have any fans left seeing as how so many of them have given up on the game due to the obvious corruption and bias towards United. I mean we know you're not so why are you saying it? is it supposed to impress people? what is the end gain? I just don't understand. Can someone help me understand?

Ibra does something almost every game. Either a blatant dive or an attack on a player. Or both.

...And it hardly passes muster in the media.

Pogba wrestling (was) also a frequent blind eye - but now he's back to generally anonymous, so no worries.

Today might be the 1st time Ibra gets hauled over the coals. It's been far too late in coming - hence that exasperated reaction on Moon.

As an aside that was apparently only the 14th opposition person to ever score a penalty at Old Trafford in the PL era... so in 25 years... odd statistic dontchathink?
The statistics up to 2008 as quoted on the caf could be excused by football playing dominance, but now?

That likely made up stat becomes irrelevant when you remember that firstly Danny Murphy and Steven Gerrard scored about 20 penalties between them at Old Trafford. Secondly when you remember the amount of penalties saved by Schmeichel, Van der Sar and De Gea. Off the top of my head, Juninho, Gilberto, Baines, David Dunn, Muzzy Izzett....

Between this and the legendary Etihad traffic, it's a wonder they get anyone to show up at all.

Too much talk here. Time for a crowd gif.

After the game today the panel on Sky Sports were talking city up a lot. Saying they could win the league this season and should become the dominant force for years to come.

Just makes you think how far we've fallen.

Don't be such a drama queen. I'm sure we heard they were set to dominate the league at the end of the 11/12 season. We all know how that worked out.

Someone on @Jippy's beloved Daily Mail has took Carlton Pogba to 'the next level'

The one nickname I don't mind is the Liverpool fans' Shitcoat for Mourinho.

That stat is useless in a vaccum. How many goals have been scored on other grounds? How many of the penalties weren't converted.

Those Ibra comments

We hear that every year. They should win the league and should dominate.
They haven't become that dominant force and didn't win as much as they should given the money they spent nor do I see them dominate in the future. Sure, maybe they'll win a league or 2 but nothing special.

And last year we were one point of the mighty City. So it's not that bad. And we're be back anyhow.

Also they won't win the league this season.

I'd get banned for posting too many video links, of all Ibra diving/assault incidents this season, but please feel free to google. :-)

Still waiting for this plethora of evidence

:lol:That surname makes me think Podolski more than Pogba.

I like how there's two incidents from this season, neither of which are particularly bad and certainly not deliberate assaults with the elbow.

Just clutching at straws as usual. Same old bitter Bertie logic!

Like how this new bitter is bringing up penalty stats when before Saturday's game against Bournemouth, City had been given 7 times more penalties this season than United this season.

I love how they always churn out shit like "Chelsea will win it, but we are miles better, theyre nowhere near our quality, we will win the title by 20pts next yr"

Wrong on every point sorry lads besides the first

I'll be mightily pissed pissed off if we don't win the CL this season. Bayern seem the best out there and flipping Arsenal scored twice against them. Mightily pissed off I'll be

No Mr Tony, you are not going to win the CL you deluded fool.

Well they clearly have a chance. If Barcelona go out tonight, and with a bit of luck City avoid Real or Bayern, then anything can happen really.

This guy's talks like they have the right to win it though when he says he'd be pissed. The CL is extremely hard to win.

Well if they don't win it this year when will they? They've a decent chance, the quality continent wide is slightly lower imo and Barca are most likely out. Having said that, City are shite so they won't win it.

Of course anything is possible but it's pretty much this which amused me greatly. Bar last season, City has been an embarrassment to the English Premier League in the Champions League and even their semi-final against Real Madrid last season was an utter disgrace, yet they think they have some sort of divine right to win it? Based on what? Because of Pep? And then he goes on to say that even Arsenal can score 2 against Bayern Munich, I hope he's just taking the piss because going by this logic, well even Rostov beat Bayern Munich.

Just a matter of time before the quadruple anyway mate. Kompany said so.

Bayern, Real and PSG are all better than City, and Juventus, Dortmund, Atletico and even Sevilla would be a decent match for them and you wouldn't say any of them beating City was an upset. The idea that Bayern aside they've got a run a the trophy is absurd.

Atletico and Juventus would beat them comfortably.

They don't have a run at it but they have the best chance they've ever had. Having said that, they conceded 3 goals at home to Monaco and any team with CL aspirations should not be doing that. They won't win it bar an absolute fluke.
