Bluemoon goes into Meltdown

To be fair the whole "look how retarded other retards on forums where they don't support the team we do are" thing is massively retarded in itself.

It's like some kind of special needs primary school version of the Israeli - Palestinian conflict but with fewer silly hats

To be fair you can't be sure of that, we'd need photographic evidence before we can claim that prestigious victory.

Very true. I certainly prefer to mentally imagine all Caf posters in a variety of eclectic hats. But in my long and painful experience of meeting what surely amounts to a sizable enough sample to claim as representative, they're all distinctly unadventurous when it comes to fashionable head wear. MikeUpNorth is physically repulsed by the very notion of them. I'm somewhat of a trail blazer in this regard. It's forever my cross to bare.

I myself only ever post when wearing my "Posting Fez." A simple hat that keeps me fashionable in parts of 1920's Egypt whilst posting on the Caf. Those who don't wear hats obviously have weirdly shaped heads. Consequently they should be banned.

I couldn't agree more. I often wear two or more at any one time just to keep myself fresh and ahead of the game....Geddit? "A head?"...I fecking rock.

They could really do with a newbies system over there.

Every thread mentioning United has a few arbitrary posts in the ilk of

"feckIN RAGS R SHIT LOl"

Which nullifies any sort of decent discussion.

Dave's a good guy, came up through the newbs with him. Get's a fair bit of flak up here but I think we all have at least a begrudging respect for coming on here and defending his team with manners and not slurs.

Seems like you have a fan over there Phelan!

Dave is a top lad

didn't know it was possible with a Shitty fan!

 Their bitterness towards non-local fans is astounding. They spend pages talking about how fans can only be from Manchester etc

Yep.

But, let's go and look at Bluemoon's "Who's Online" list;

Matt In Oz
mcfcinprague
NZBlue
Philadelphia_Citizen
BLUEinTheUSA
IcelandicBlue
Danish_blue
mancmackem
Irish_Owen
Andy Milton Keynes
brummie blue
PjMSweden
spanishblue
blue dallas
Dubai Blue
Wexford Blue
Fallingbostel Blue

Strange...

By turning themselves into Chelsea, they are inevitably going to aquire the sort of fans they always take the piss out of, after all that's what their owners want.

But hey, I look forward to the mindless threads on there in the future about their worldwide fanbase beating ours.

To be fair a lot of that is just banter. City fans say all uniteds fans are not Mancs and all United fans say all City fans come from Stockport. Im still trying to work out who everyone in Manchester actually supports.

Now in regards to City attracting oot fans imo they are absolutely essential if City have genuine intentions of competing at the higher echelons of football. In a perfect world would'nt it br great if all out players and fans were Mancs and we went onto dominate football? Unfortunately for all the old romantics those days are well and truely over.
if you look at all the top clubs in Europe who have dominated for a sustained period of time then they all have large worldwide supports. Thats the reason why they continue to stay at the top. Success and money breeds success and money. For the long term good of Manchester City we need to grow our fan base. Now for a lot of blues that idea will not rest easy with them but the realist in me knows that the Sheikh is not going to continue to pump money into us for eternity. When the day comes that he does not wish to do that then we need to be in a position where we are a big enough brand as they say that we are still able to compete.
Now given the choice of relegation battles and dire football under someone like Stuart Pearce or challenging in the top teams but having to welcome oot fans so called glory hunters then theres only one winner for me and thats not stuart pearces silly mascot being the most interesting aspect of 90 minutes football

You obviously have a head on your shoulders, but you really should have stopped at your first point.

It's all just banter.

Even the best of us will say something stupid or hypocritical at times when talking about our clubs versus our rivals. I suppose the main difference is simply some of us know that ;)

Problem is, is how long will it take to achieve that level. At the moment City first target should be to achieve the the brand equivalance of Chelsea. The only way I could see City developing a brand to support the level of spending they are doing now is if they have 10-15 years of unstoppable dominance and develop a first rate youth system. Is that achievable before your sheikh decides it's costing to much?

Lets see what the sheikhs plans are for the development of land around Coms first as we will know what his intentions are then. The Manchester City brand might not just be restricted to the football club. Now i don't know what these plans are, something is obviously happening as the the land is being re developed as we speak but untill the plans are finalised its not worth me getting carried away

Now they've jumped on Olly's post.

I preferred it last year when we were having that love-in with Arsenal Mania.

Uh oh Olly, you've upset someone on there 85% of them are all born mancs dontcha know....

Although granted that fixer bloke is clearly an extremely unstable individual, if that lad doesn't have an anti social behaviour problem im Donald trump, so easy to wind up its great....

I remember there were plans for the whole site, hotels, casino etc. That probably will help financially, (a bit) but will it help garner world wide support?

If City are pocketing huge sums of money from them would they really need worldwide support. It could be a case of attracting daytrippers to the site and then throwing in match tickets as part of the experience just like the casinos do in Vegas. Now that is another can of worms all together

And if it went tits up, like i'd expect it probably would; would the club carry the winding down costs? I expect they would. Sounds risky to me.

Typical Bluemoon threads:

"I saw a RAG in ASDA today..."

"My RAG mate reckons Berbatov is a good player!"

"Bobby Manc please feck off NOW!"

"The thing I hate about RAGS..."

"Rooney and Kaka are coming to City!!!!"

"I saw a RAG in town today and he told me..."

"Who needs Rooney he's shit!!!!!111"

"Who needs Kaka he's shit!!!!!"

Like i said lets see what the plans are first. Going of other investments made by Aby Dhabi then they have pretty much had unrivalled success and invest for the long term rather than trying to make a quick buck in the short term. Untill the plans are announced it would be daft of me to really speculate as I have no idea what plans we have. One thing is certain if it has the support of the council and the British Government then they must be good

They wouldn't let me post this picture on bluemoon so I'll post it here instead, they'll all see it anyways

I wouldn't be so sure about that. At the rate they are growing, I expect them to challenge for the title next season (if not this one). That implies that they will also challenge for the CL sooner than later.

It's City! They'll feck it up somehow!

 So, they hate foreigners and people who don't support their local team, but they're owned by someone who probably thought he was buying United and have how many foreign players?

The owners should send Bluemoon some cash! It's a dreadfully slow and cheap forum, I'd hate to be a regular there - it's so slow most people post their stuff 3 times!
