I don't see all that talent with Sterling tbh, and this is not a "oh, he is a City player, I can't like him" thing, but I genuinely think he is underwhelming. His composure is lacking, his topspeed is lacking (acceleration is great though), and his footballing intelligence really isn't there.
If anything I think he has regressed the last two seasons.

The tournament only lasts for three more weeks so what is the point in Sterling playing then? Kane has been anonymous, which is one thing, but Sterling has been dreadful. His early effort will probably be miss of the tournament.

You can see that he is afraid to try to go past his man and there was a high ball that he let bounce, if he tried to control it first time he would have been in a good attacking position. Rashford is a better wildcard off the bench at the moment for England IMO.
