Bluemoon goes into Meltdown

No one on here is complaining about not winning trophies though are they. 45 goals scored in the league. 10 games with no goal at all. Sideways negative football. Strange tactical subs and lineups. Players out of position. Its all worth a moan to be fair.

Exactly, the results are not the reason for the complaints, fans were sick of LvG's shit when we were winning, the hideous football he thinks is the way to play is the reason many fans will take whatever route needed to see him gone.

To be fair, way back when, plenty of people used to go to Old Trafford one week and Maine Road the next, I used to work with a few who remembered it as being normal.

I was chatting to a lovely old fella in a pub in town last week who told me he used to do exactly that with his dad back in the day.

Don't get me wrong, he's not done a bad job and he seems a nice fella, but I certainly think he could have achieved more.

I kind of agree to an extent, then again, you look at their side and think how many of the players have given up on him even before the announcement f Guardiola?.

If Jose wins us the league whilst only scoring 45 goals i will tatoo his name on my forehead.

Reading your previous post,it sounded like you have issue with negative football, now it looks like that doesnt bother you at all as long we win the league.I got this right or?

Sounds like Utd fans

What a terrible post. :wenger:

Pellegrini won them Premierleague, league cup twice, reached the semifinals of CL for the first time in their history, set the record for number of goals scored by English teams, and played actually decent football during that time.

So yeah, same as United fans who don't like one of their worst managers ever with worst style of football ever.

Fortress Etihad.

I've been there once since it was owned by City and it was for their (?) Europa league game vs Juventus. Bought 3 tickets for £15 at the Manchester SU because I thought it'd be a good opportunity to watch Del Piero so called 2 of my United supporting friends and off we went.

The third tier of each stand was completely empty and there were other patches of blue seated fans elsewhere. Our £5 tickets were on the 3rd row behind the goal.

When a Juventus player (I think it was Del Piero) hit the bar one of us squealed. Immediately, a group of lads who were sat in front of us turned around and asked why we were disappointed that Juve had hit the bar.

Told them quietly that we were United fans and they started to laugh and said they were too. Just fancied a cheap night out. I can't imagine how many more there were but it says a lot about their supposed colossal fan base.

I was dragged along to Maine Rd once, well actually tricked into going. We sat behind the goal on the 2nd tier and virtually the whole stand was empty.
I went once too. Had mates at uni there and got free tickets. Chelsea won 2-1, late Mark Stein goal iirc. Like Coronation Street round that ground. Back to back terraces.

Can someone please fecking tell me why I should have stayed to clap players and their families? Seen people on here being described as spoilt for not staying. Why? I don't fecking go to Asda on New Years Eve and clap them coming out for doing a good job. I don't feck off down to A&E at 0730hrs and applaud the night shift coming out - and by feck do thery earn it. So why the feck should I stay behind to clap people that I have paid hard earned money, and given up my free time, to watch?

For those that stayed, crack on, I've no issue. However, don't fecking call me spoilt for choosing to go home.

Don't worry I had a right go at the city fans in my next post

Still the posts were identical to some of ours

Didn't see that, my mistake, but still shouldn't be compared with United fans. Pellegrini was much better for them than van Gaal and Moyes for us.

The only manager to win more trophies than Pellegrini at City is Joe Mercer, I believe.

What a send off.

But none of City's previous managers apart from Mancini and Hughes have had the same amount of money available. City is a club with a massive budget now, so winning one league title and two Mickey Mouse cups in three seasons isn't that great, it's decent at best.

I understand that and I do think that Pellegrini should have done better with squad and resources at his disposal, but given that City's history isn't exactly trophy rich, you'd have thought the minimum they could do would be to stick around.

History doesn't mean anything, City have the money now to win things every season, which their fans rightly expect, so being in a position now where they might finish 5th is terrible. Had they still been this small time Manchester club they used to be, Pellegrini would get a heroes send off after finishing 4th or 5th and winning the League Cup, but those days are long gone.

At the end of the day, Pellegrini won them trophies and got them further than they have ever been in the CL. So for there to be less than apparently 10k there for him to say goodbye, is absolutely appalling. Plastic fair weather cnuts

Thing is, the City mob were right up Pellegrini's arse last summer. Claiming him better than Mourinho and the prems best manager by some distance. Now Pep is coming in, and they have had a disappointing season (happens to the best of us) they throw him under a bus. Its utterly pathetic.

And I will absolutely GUARANTEE you something else... if Pep performs same way as Pellegrini this year (i dont think theyll win the prem myself), or does something wrong, he wont get anywhere near the grief Pellegrini would have/has had, because he is a more fashionable name and their shiny new toy

Has anyone in England finished a season as badly as that and still won the league? You'd think someone could capitalise on 4 points and 0 wins from their last 6 games.

I'm wondering if they had sewn it up already, becasue Juve's ending sequence was 4-2-0.

Given that we're discussing showing their manager a bit of respect and staying around for the traditional end of season send off, this is a load of bollocks. They may well expect trophies every season given their resources, but there's no excuse for the spoilt brat mentality that's permeated their fanbase over the last few years.

In 2001-02 and 2004-05 United were trophyless, and as far as I can recall, had no big send off for key figures in the club's history, and I can guarantee there were far more than 10k people staying behind for the lap of honour after the final home game.

City didn't used to be a small-time Manchester club, they still are. They're just a small-time club with some money now.

There's a middle-ground to be found between a heroes send off and the complete lack of respect shown to Pellegrini today.

Serie A, 93/94

1. Milan (C) 34 19 12 3 36 15 +21 50 Champions League Group stage
2. Juventus 34 17 13 4 58 25 +33 47 UEFA Cup
3. Sampdoria 34 18 8 8 64 39 +25 44 Cup Winners' Cup
4. Lazio 34 17 10 7 55 40 +15 44 UEFA Cup
5. Parma 34 17 7 10 50 35 +15 41 UEFA Cup
6. Napoli 34 12 12 10 41 35 +6 36 UEFA Cup

I totally forgot that Italy stayed with 2 points for a win much longer . When did they switch to 3?

I agree that it's a bit pathetic what they did in just leaving, but at the same time I can understand their frustration of seeing, what is the best team in the league on paper, now being in a position where they might miss top 4, and that to a terrible United side. City have underperformed massively in the league this season, if that team finish outside the top 4 it's worse than us finishing 7th two seasons ago because atleast that team was average.
