Bluemoon goes into Meltdown

In over 5 years. The last few hundred posts of which have been mocking a mentally challenged chap. I'd say that's fairly low considering.

I know I'm disagreeing with half the people in this thread but as far as I can tell, he messed up an argument trying to defend his club and tried (and failed) to recover and backtrack. "Mentally challenged" seems way too harsh, more biased and stubborn and if that makes you mentally challenged then half of the Caf is too.

Is the cafe

a. Challenged?
b. Challenging?
c. Biased?
d. Objective?
e. Messi?
f. All of the above?
g. None of the above?

Very strange! :D

To me, the polar opposite of desolate would be "lush", and swamps are generally pretty lush. For you the polar opposite appears to be "populated", which just doesn't fit for me :)

No i mean the first thing that comes to mind is somewhere like the image you posted. Sandy, barren and no one about. However i would also class a swamp as desolate, just not barren since stuff can survive there. There's just nothing about.

@Ronetta

I'm not gonna participate to all this bullying, but you do realise that it is impossible to hate or love something that you don't care about ?

United is known to be most the hated club in England but also the most followed club, people care about United in a positive and negative way.
City on the other no one cares about them, it will come but at the moment no one cares, they are not hated and they are not particularly supported .
People care about Liverpool, they care about Arsenal, they care about Mourinho and Chelsea but they don't give half a feck about City.

Well, this went a bit further and longer then I expected.

It's the Caf and we're playing City this weekend, therefore we're in the mood to berate a City fan apparently. I'd prefer to mock the ones who seem to be genuine scumbags (those on bluemoon) than Ronetta who just fecked up an argument and acted stubborn. If he came on here called us all rags and scum, called OT the swamp and started bringing up Munich, this protracted mocking which has lasted far too many pages would be more justified.

Everyone should be able to backtrack when a mistake is made. To seemingly believe it and to accuse others of being dim witted is a different matter and didn't really earn him the benefit of the doubt.

I agree the insults that followed were excessive but people have been laughing about it for a few pages now, it seems a little over the top.

I agree, he's a lot more level headed then those over on Bluemoon.

Let's be honest, you guys can't really claim you don't care about Manchester city when there is a 169 page thread cataloging the stupid things their fans say.
Terrible post. 171 pages over 5 years is tiny.

So back on track what is the general feeling over there? Trepidation or do they still hold confidence based on recent meetings?

The next Oscar Wild right here. He's truly wasted on Bluemoon.

So what? It's still almost 35 pages per season of reading a forum of people you don't like and then posting it back here and talking about the opinions of people you don't like.
Well, it's true to say we care about them. But in some way we care a least a bit about Burnley and Hull. Plus when there is a club local to your club who hate you as much as they love their own club, they is going to be people giving it back. As I'm sure you are fully aware when it comes to Arsenal and Spurs.

And that's fine. I wasn't saying you lot shouldn't care, just saying that you do.

For me, i'd defend my club from irrational attacks from any set of fans. It doesn't really matter to me that it's City, but since they're the ones starting them it clearly matters to them. I'd be the same if a Hull fan had a go. I do genuinely believe it's their bitterness that fuels the majority of the exchanges.

I only got involved because he had the nerve to call everyone dim, stupid etc.
I'm fairly certain it wouldn't have been more than laughing smileys if he had left it after his poor attempt at making a point.

To be fair quite a bit of it was some strange discussion about whether a swamp could be called a desolate place and what 'desolate' means in the first place.

In a mood to berate a city fan? Ehm it's completely his own fault for not just admitting a stupid mistake and instead having a meltdown. It doesn't matter what team he supported he would have been laughed at irregardless.

I find your whole viewpoint very strange because I only laughed at Ronetta for how stupid and stubborn he was being not because he supports Manchester City. If anyone comes on the Cafe and calls us scum and old trafford the swamp I really couldn't care less.

It was only a few lads taking the piss out of someone for making a posting blunder mate, it could happen to any of us it's wasn't personal.

It was all in good fun for the most part, not holding his hands up and instead being stubborn and accusing everyone else of being dim witted and not intelligent enough to understand some still unknown point he was trying to make was just fuel for the fire of hilarity.

It says something about Bluemoon when the decent City fans have to come here for rational discussion.

Who's that guy? I havent kept track.
Johnno White is a legendary United fan on RAWK that claims to have been supporting United since the 50's or 60's and he absolutely hates the way United have become these days and longs for the days of Charlton and Edwards. He seems to take every oppertunity to criticise United on RAWK which is met with widespread applause and approval.

It's a strange situation Mali.

I suppose you're right. When he started dishing out insults randomly he was just digging a deeper hole.

 The meltdown threads are weird.

I know but I can't help but think that because he's a City fan and because it's in this thread we're very quick to label it a meltdown and give it more attention than it probably deserves.

All true. I don't think it was malicious or anything. Like I said to Atilla, I just think the whole thing probably got more attention than it deserved. I mean anyone who comes into this thread is hoping to laugh at City fans. Still, he'd have helped his own chances of avoiding a new tagline by just holding his hands up and admitting his mistake.

@Tyrion It was a complete feck up by Ronetta and it would have been laughed at no matter who he supported. Feel like you are reading into this too much. It got attention and he completely denied it and called us all morons for suggesting that he made a blunder. What else can you expect?

Edit - Just for clarification I wouldn't just have a dig at a City fan just because of who he supports. I couldn't give two shits about Man City in all honesty. My hatred is reserved for Liverpool these days :D

I guess it just doesn't seem so bad when I compare it with Bluemoon. Maybe my standards are slipping.
I just don't remember a United fan screwing up and such a big deal being made of it.
