And for the muppet, we could force Pogba to change his game and forget about all the fanciness.

--------Ibrahimovic
Mkhi---Griezmann--Bernardo
-----Pogba--Fabinho
-----The back four-----
---------De Gea

Here you have the best team in the world.

I can't recall seeing Silva play. Those who know Ligue 1, can you tell me if the sources linking him to United are credible or is this Nico Gaitan redux?

The best bit about that line up is any of those 3 behind Ibra can play anywhere accross that line. I'd hate to have to limit Pogba though hopefully he can still roam free.

Story originated in the Sun but has been picked up by ESPN and Sky all quoting the Sun who aren't really quoting anyone.

Based on what was said this summer, Bernardo Silva and Bakayoko were only monitored while Fabinho was almost a done deal but the inability to sell players forced United to not conclude it.
The Fabinho part was said on Canal plus and they are generally reliable and don't use external sources, Oglobo were the first to say that it was done but I don't know how reliable they are.

As for the last report, it's just from the Sun and no one has confirmed it.

List of articles by the person who penned the latest report.

Don't know anything about him other than he doesn't get on well with Klopp, Spurs fans and Arsenal fans.

This guy is basically what most of us thought Adnan Januzaj would become given a few years time 3 years ago. How things have turned out...

I'd love us to sign him, sign them all!

I wonder if Jose's interest in Fabinho was purely as a RB or if he's maintained interest now he's a full time DM.

Well since Mourinho doesn't see Darmian or TFM as a viable option at RB i can only assume he is healthy competition for Valencia.

Might be a good comparison from what I've seen. Especially in some of these GIFs with his close control and nice gliding burst of pace to get by:

I always confuse Rolando with his brother Ronaldo.

Only seen him a few times for Monaco but he always impressed me. Above all, I saw him at the Euro U21 where he looked head and shoulders above the rest. Not as ludicrous as Messi at the U20 WC, but pretty funny to watch. Big talent. Not sure United would be the best for him, nor him for united though. Especially if you sign Griezmann

The thing is I don't think Fabinho is good enough in attack to replace Valencia, given we always play an inside forward on that right side, but he has excelled as a DM this season.

I see what you mean but Darmian is hardly an attacking option at LB in the absence of Shaw is he so he may just add a defensive option in a tactical way plus if he can play DM too even better it means he's versatile.

More than the skill I think you have to admire his tenacity

The versatility is a plus I agree, I just think the attacking aspect of the fullback is so important in this system we are playing as we aren't using wingers, and with Darmian I get the feeling the fact him and Blind both lack pace for the overlap means Jose prefers Darmian from a defesnive standpoint but neither are players he sees as long term options.

Ah, he's that guy! I remember seeing that goal live and chuckling to myself that the problem with this player is he's all left foot.

Is he even left-footed?

I think I want.

I dont think he's like Mata in play style at all he is much more of a quick dribbler like David Silva, Mata is much more conserved in his play and is slower.

Agreed, more similar to Silva. Is that kind of player Silva/Mata/Isco

Watching him last night for Monaco and for me this guy > Mata easily. Really good player but the last thing United need is another playmaker out wide. Too good for Monaco. Wonder where he will end up.

Linked to Barcelona today. I assume Andre Gomes hasn't worked out for them?

Apparently Messi and Co went to the management and said they don't rate him and don't want him in the starting lineup.

He's a lot better than Mata. He's looking more like prime David Silva with better dribbling abilities.

There are few better than Silva at running with the ball, but I get what you are trying to say.. he is very penetrative when he runs at people despite not having top drawer pace. Glides past players.

 So he is better than Mata already? How many times have you guys seen full games of Bernardo Silva instead of looking at fancy Youtube reels? The only thing he does exceptionally well compared to Mata is run with the ball. Mata has produced just as much if not more than him while playing far fewer minutes

I've been sold on this guy since his performance against Tottenham, he's really been impressing since. Not sure where he'd fit (if we sign Griezmann) but I'd hate for a rival to sign him.

So you base your knowledge on whoscored?

Given Bernardo's mentality and off-the-ball workrate - to go with his playmaking ability, he could work in a midfield three as a hybrid (like the one Dortmund sometimes employ with Guerreiro + Castro/Götze and the likes):
Though in their case, having someone as complete as Guerreiro as a proper box-to-box midfielder in both phases, and quality width on the outside channels definitely brings more balance to the entire structure. Whereas we would be better off with prioritizing Pogba and providing more tactical leeway to him.
