Also for the question in the post, may be because our manager has another targets in his lost that are more priority for him ? May be Silva was a priority for fans but doesn't mean he's a priority for our manager. He's free to do what he want and he will hold responsibility for next season.

Look Silva is a massive talent, but he wasn't right for United.. he would be another Mkhi/Mata at this club but slightly better. We would have made him track back like a dog, barely give him any possession to work with and with his lack of pace, he'd have struggled to make an impact in our side as a right winger, that is a fact. There is no way with our style of play, we would make it work with Silva, Griezmann and Pogba.. almost three playmakers who like to operate centrally. It would have been the most expensive clusterfeck of all time.. and we'd still look shocking as an attacking unit next year, only an extremely pretty one with neat triangles and nice dribbling.
He's gone to the right club. He'll be a big success there, under a manager who will give him the right platform to succeed, someone who understands playmakers like Silva alot better than Jose ever will and will have team mates with the same wavelength.
He's not shit, he has the ability to be a world class player but he wasn't the right player for us. Good move for all parties concerned.
I honestly think someone like Mahrez/Costa out wide, would be a far better tactical fit for Mourinho style football than Silva ever could and we can get them at half the price. If we want to go real top dollar, Dembele/Bale/Mbappe.. are the guys we need out wide, not a playmaker who lacks top tier pace in Silva.

Maybe he wants to frontload the 3 attacking positions with goals to compensate the rest of our squad which Silva doesn't provide?

I'm not going to get involved in the wider Silva discussion on this thread as emotions are running pretty high, suffice to say that both clubs were always going to spend big this window and as such United will sign some great players this summer too.

Season was ok, he would possibly get into our team, yes, but he wouldn't make it better. Going forward he is not better then Mata, Micky..he is pretty similar to Lingard though, regarding work rate etc. Would not have made our team better, nor worse. Similar to Bernardo Silva. I'd rather get players that really make our team better.
Get a grip on yourself. They can absolutely have him for that price. How can you be so sure it will work out for him there? I can name plenty of players they have signed that have been absolute garbage for them. I do think he will do well there, but how can you say if we signed him that it would work out. City's style and ours are polar opposites.
Finally a sensible post. We have several more pressing concerns in the squad than improving on Mata and Mikhi. Silva is a great player but not the type of player we need right now

Great post. B.Silva is a top talent but he's gone to the right manager to help him thrive. I was always unsure about how he would actually fit in with us as we're more geared to constricting space in defence and then exploiting it on the counter in attack.
B.Silva doesn't fit the profile. He's better at City where keeping possession is what he'll be expected to do and what his game is.
Not sure about this strategy of keep throwing money at the attack when the midfield and defence is rubbish but maybe it's something we should do too, who needs defence when you're gonna outscore the opponents.

Besides what´s he competing against? A 6th place finish, scoing less goals as a team than under Moyes and Carrick/Sideshow Bob/Herrera. Give me break. If you have 17-18 good players you can rotate the team through four competitions. United don´t even have 11 good starters.
Griezmann isn't a playmaker and Silva played on the right mostly. The part about possession is wrong as well, you're making it sound like we haven't had games where we've had a lot of possession and chances, he'd add to that, Jose doesn't go pragmatic against every team in the league. Mbappe is a striker, not really a winger.
Not that I'm losing my shit but losing out on this guy is a great loss imo, he'll be what Silva has been to them. Agree that he'll look better in their system than ours though.
