Exactly

I think Hughsie is beginning to dislike United.

To be fair to him he didn't go on about Berbatov too much, kinda shrugged it off.

It seemed to me after hearing his interview that the city bid is all just a smoke screen.....either than or a way to get United to up their bid

I extremely doubt we will up our bid to anywhere near spurs's valuation, if we end up doing that then we could have just done the same and bought him over a year ago and all this up too now would have just been nonsense.

I think we will stick too our guns and not bid more then we intended.
Personal terms are agreed and he has had his medical, all the odds are stacked in our favor as the deadline looms.....

i actually need to get away from all this crap for a while, i shall be back in an hour and there better have been some progress made by then

What interests me is whether we had permission to talk to Berb. If so, why would we leave ourselves open to it when they have already reported us for misconduct. And on deadline day when the whole world is watching? If not, why is Levy lying?

It seems very strange.

If we didnt have permission then that is quite poor behaviour. Hitherto our conduct has been much better than Real's was, but our moral highground would be blown apart.

To say that Real got away with it so we can do it as well would not show much class in my opinion. But I guess I wont be dwelling on it if we get him.

We'll only have to raise our bid to meet spurs asking price (in and around). City offeing what they have has changed nothing monies wise because the player has no interest going manchester city. It would be different if he did.

i understand that what i am saying is that city did this knowing there was no chance of him signing. It was just to get us to pay more

Waste of time me being at work today. Leaving here shortly to finish this off in the comfort of home. I can always kick the dog if we don't get him.

Latest News from Man City is that no other bids were made from city. The only bid city have made is for Berbatov

The deadline is 00.00 GMT, no?

edit: scrap that, I was a bit confused. Sorted now

Medical passed and a 4 year deal agreed so my sources tell me.

However, no deal yet between United and Spurs.

ffs, dont start with hughes bashing over all this. he's hardly going to stand aside for us just cos he used to play for us. thank god sir matt shared the same attitude.

Latest News from SkyNews:

According to James Cooper Berbatov has completed his medical and is now headed to Carrington. He seems to think that United are working against the clock and are trying to obtain as much information as they can without the help of Spurs. They reckon while Berbatov was doing his medical talks 'may' have been going on between United and Spurs.

Most feel in the area that with 3 hours to go Berbatov isn't going to go to anywhere but United, and obviously talk of Campbell being loaned out for 1 season

The deadline is 00.00 GMT, no?

yerp

it sounds convincing now. James Cooper now saying we've completed his medical and he should be coming back to our Carrington, then to get everything signed up. As always this is just rumours, but i think its slowly coming to an end now.

At least i hope it does

2104: This won't surprise you in the least, but I'm getting wind of an enormous bust-up over the signing of Tottenham's Bulgarian striker Dimitar Berbatov. It probably revolves around Manchester United taking him though a medical, even though Spurs haven't allowed United to speak to him yet. This one is about to get bruta
