Yes, but that means he won't be played at Tottenham as they already have a replacement and he's probably too much out of favour there at the minute. Just my thoughts though, facts might be completely opposite.

If City offer him crazy wages, think he might go there. After all, there were willing to give Ronaldinhio 200k or something. They might give him something like 120k. Don't think we will match that.
 
feck me. This thread has produced it's fair share of stupidity but I'm genuinely amazed that people seem to actually believe that a player doesn't have any say in his own future.

I thought Blatter was as big a spastic as it is possible to be but some of you cnuts seem to think footballers are slaves too :confused:

Just hope he has the faith that we'll come through for him, because as you said the situation in Spurs is so bad, if he may just want to leave for the sake of his career.

rubbish, that won't happen. If city was the only option believe me suddently berbatov would find a spring in his step and do you honestly think spurs wouldn't play berbatov? no chance
 
He won't WANT to play for City.. i don't think many people have suggested that. But here's a scenario...

We don't offer enough so don't get him..
He feel's he's fecked things up too much at Spurs to stay..
He sees City as his only real option.

It's possible...

He just has to tear up the contract. The City 'story' is ridiculous. He wants to leave Spurs to play for a world-class club before it's too late. City are, as Pogue said (and as some on Glory-glory are saying right now) rivals of Spurs for the 4-8/5-8 spots.

So Berb will not be playing for City as that would be a pointless move sideways for him and for Spurs would be equivalent to inviting City to come and park their tanks on Spurs' lawn.

It's stay or come to us.

Just been told on this one that the City bid is a hoax and in return for Man City not denying the rumours Tottenham paid the asking price for Corluka (they only wanted to pay £7 million originally considering Corluka had handed in a transfer request)

It's Tottenham releasing all the stories regarding Berbatov thus increasing the pressure on your end hoping you will up your bid

I would bet anything that if you meet Spuds original valuation Berbatov will be a Manchester United player tonight

Berbatov is not a fool. Berbatov wants to play champion league football. Even Ronaldinho got a bigger bid from shitty, but he decided to join the more prestigious AC Milan. The ball is still in our court, Berbs either joins us or Spurs will have to play him in the reserve, and pay him 80k a week .
