Look at that slave. Can't even afford new clothes. Where's Blatter when you need him?

I fully expect something to happen today, whether it's Berbatov signing, Levy taking that picture from the Sun for his invisible dossier or some WUM being ban here. That is all.

I already said that is all.

But for your benefit, i don't really know. But yes, i can't see him playing for Spursy again if he did indeed signed that United shirt.

SATA> Is it some kind of gut feeling? I feel this may go to the wire.

If we sign him, it will be in the last day or two before the window closes, in order to try to push the price down, seeing as there is no rush - next game after Portsmouth is 13th September.

Hopefully, we won't sign him though.

Well I wouldnt say hopefully.... I would call it: If yes fine, if no...well...fine.

Can you see WHL up there? Is Berbatov training today?

Sorry, miss your post, and yes, according to the press.

I see, maybe like in the case of Barry? But don't know how true when Capello says the transfer farce has affected Barry.

Spurs can read that too, right?

If we don't sign him, are you going to play upfront?

IF Berbatov plays against Sunderalnd, then we sign him after that game is he eligible to play for us on the monday against Portsmouth also?

Let's stop talking about Berba for now(until official words).
What are our alternatives? Time is running out and we don't have much time before window closes

Going off press reports alternatives are apparently Huntelaar and Benzema .. think thats about it.. unless SAF has another 'Larsson white rabbit' uner his hat?

EDIT: other strikers rumoured to be availabel at the right price are David Villa, Luis Fabiano and Robinho!!!

Post your picture here and we can judge if you're fit enough.

Do you want Rooney and Tevez to suffer a burn-out? Moreover, Rooney is obsessed with pies.

No, I obviously prefer Rooney and Tevez not to be burned out.

Give them a rest from time to time, and play Saha, Campbell or Ronaldo in their place.

Tottenham head coach Juande Ramos will meet Dimitar Berbatov on Friday and assess whether the striker will feature against Sunderland this weekend.

Berbatov has handed in a transfer request and wants to move to Manchester United, with Ramos keeping him on the bench for 65 minutes last weekend in the defeat against Middlesbrough.

This week he has been on international duty with Bulgaria and the 27-year-old is scheduled to return on Friday.

If he does play at White Hart Lane, Berbatov is expected to be jeered by his own fans.

"Tottenham fans are no exception to any others - they support the team and get behind the side," said Ramos.

"If a player is on form, if he knocks in a couple of goals, then I'm sure anyone who booed him last week will soon be getting behind him and cheering him. That is what it is like.

"While he is still here, he is very much 100% a Tottenham player - that is how we consider things.

"It is not a case of finding a solution to a problem before it occurs."

If he's talking to the manager today then hopefully something may come of it. It's up to Berbatov to push for the move, he need to do a Ronaldo, only better obviously.

If we really want him that bad we should pay what Spurs demand and finally end this drama. The season has started already.

I feel like Morgan Freeman in that movie Shawshank Redemption, and him continually having his parole appeals declined is like me coming on here to see if we've signed a striked yet. In the end I'll just be nonchalant about the thing and find out two day later on Talksport that we've signed him...

Noodlehairs' playing Andy Dufraine when he's overpowered by those white guys...

I don't think there is anyway Spurs will sell him now they cannot get their man. They are low on strikers too. We need to look elsewhere.

We wont look elsewhere, so today I have a bad feeling about us signing anyone. Hope something happens soon. To long this waiting game.

Mental fatigue, besides physical rest, requires one to stay away from football for a period of time as a form of recovery. No, Saha's body is breaking down. No, demanding Campbell to score at the Premiership is like asking a rookie to perform at an Olympic pool. No, Ronaldo is a goal scoring winger, not a 9 or 10.

If it wasn't for Shay Given he would have come away with a gold.
