As opposed to LvG who has creatively castrated every player he has managed over the past 18 months.

As for Mou, the players hate him and always celebrate when he leaves don't they.

I would say a fair few at RM really sent out the boat when they heard he'd gone

Bielsa has principles, Poch is an excellent manager, and Blanc has utd history and is an excellent manager
Ancelotti speaks for him-self: Class vs cnut

Your granny can win la liga. I'm sure she'd have no problems in the French league too.

The United way isn't a static concept. It evolves with the club and with the times. We aren't going to have a quaintly patriarchal Scottish manager forever, nor are we going to be a club that prioritizes youth over success. That's the old way. The new way is the realization that we are in a globalized football construct where sugardaddy owners control the game, big transfers dominate the agenda, and United are in a sink or swim situation where clutching at the past/identity/youth/the United Way will result in the appalling mediocrity of the past 3 years. The only way to continue domination is to get the best manager in the world currently available.

Btw i love how SAF has suddenly become a "quaintly patriarchal Scottish manager" . your right times change :wenger:

It's odd most of the people supporting Mou's arrival seem to have some Spanish connection in their avatar - Raoul, Bojan11,
Cal? I always Loyalty CR7,... Are you RM supporters in disguise hoping we'll hire the fecker to destroy our club too ?

Your argument makes no sense. You want a manager who is doing well in a one team league. Yet have a go at Jose for doing well in a two team league. Baffled.

Change the goalposts.

The only own goals you're scoring is within your own argument.

Didn't Ronaldo said just a week back that Mourinho is the best manager he has ever worked with (which means even better than SAF and Ancelotti)?

The arguments (if you can call them that) being put forward by some of the people who dislike Mourinho are just bizarre.

It's because they haven't really got a argument in the first place the man's a proven winner but they choose to ignore that

Probably because the hiring of Mourinho will threaten their pride and this "United Way" identity they have been preaching to rival fans for years, thus making them "hypocrites" who will have to eat their words. This feeling comes before raw logic, so they will stubbornly defend their reasoning with incredible bias.

Only just realized today what an amazing job Pochettino is doing at Spurs this season.

yes, everyone who wants mourinho at our club is obviously a real madrid supporter in disguise.

81% of the caf have Spanish connections. Those not supporting are a minority.

It's the greatest conspiracy theory of all time, every United fan is secretly a Real fan!

Where does the idea that appointing Giggs is what the fans want come from? It seems to me, based on this forum, at best, fans are split.
Based on this forum, it doesn't seem like anyone aside from a few individuals thinks it is a good idea to appoint Giggs. Seems more like people just don't want Jose as opposed to actually wanting Giggs.

The fact that he supposedly would not take the job as an interim manager is just showing that he actually doesn't have United at heart but himself. If he would do it then LvG could have been sent packing. Instead he sits there beside him doing absolutely naff all while everything collapses around him.

Why is Pochettino a better choice than, say Ranieri then. Since we're basing it on this season only...

So did Rodgers, with a worse Liverpool side. One season means very little and it's not like he's won any trophies yet.

Now I understand the Ann Arbor shenanigans, Marca were right the stadium was white.

Worse Liverpool side??? You must be having a laugh? Suarez and Sturridge in that season was the most prolific striker duo in the history of the premier league. His side was almost 3x better than the one Pochettino has at the moment. Nevertheless, if you analyze Pochettino teams(which I have done), he has shown significant development of his players ability and good man management skills. It is not only one season he has done well in.

On this thread, I m suprised so many people want Mourinho at United. Perhaps, their is a bit of hope after he got humiliated at Chelsea this season and his next job, he will show more humility.

Yep you've nailed it there, Exactly right.

Spot on.

Don't think it's particularly surprising given the circumstances. He was always popular on here, for one thing.

Secondly, people consider our present state as criticial, i.e. Maureen will effectively be seen as some sort of emergency measure by many. If we'd been safely in the top four, looking there or thereabouts, the idea of someone like Poch would've been far easier to sell. Maureen is seen as the low risk option - oddly enough, one could say, but it isn't entirely without merit.

Finally, he's seen as the Pep antidote - the only sensible move to counteract City's Pep move. That may not be 100% logical, but it isn't entirely without merit either.

If Mourinho gets hired (not that I'd be happy but I understand the situation we're in), I hope he's allowed to press the detonator button and just leave a crater where the current coaching staff is. Moyes getting rid of the staff was a huge mistake but this is a case where IMO we need a total blowup and let Mou bring in whomever he wants - which means no more potential 'strings attached' arrangements with Giggs. He needs to be skipped out of here.
