Would you be happy to see Jose Mourinho become next United manager?

Until the BBC are reporting it as done, the club release a statement and I see Mou shaking hands with Woody in front a Man United and sponsors backdrop I won't consider it a "done deal".
If Howard Nurse is still reporting for them then we won't find out about it until February 2018.

BeIN sports Arabia were the first outlet to report Di Maria to Utd. If Mourinho is in Doha then there's a good possibility they have been told by someone in the know.

Howard Nurse did put a cryptic tweet earlier about someone getting their wish soon. Was probably about the Berlin wall coming down though.

If Nurse does ever tweet about this happening, then be careful to be sure that he isn't just reporting the story that started this thread in the first place back in February - as he works for the BBC, might get that story a bit faster than usual...

Mourinho being in Qatar close to BeIN HQ makes this speculation very interesting.

I'm still of the mind set that everything we've heard is from Mourinho/Mendes rather than anything from United end.

So is the thinking that BeIN are reliable down to the calculation that they are owned by the PSG sugar daddy, and therefore since PSG were recently linked with Mourinho then they might've been told that he wasn't available as he was already committed to us?

Or is it just a case of someone saying what we want to hear, therefore we believe them? :D

It's 100% this. But the more we hear it...

IF Jose comes, give him a 5-year deal without the possibility to resign or get sacked..I want some goddamn stability in this club.
I always knew van Gaal was going to leave before long but the reality is that we cannot deal with this kind of short term managers mainly because of the legacy of Sir Alex. That's another unique thing about this club and I for one want to keep it that way.

So if Mourinho brings United to 15th he should not be sacked?

Can't wait for this cnut to take over....

I hated him at Porto....Had a begrudging respect for him at Chelsea....Have liked him since he left the first time.

This is the sort of guy who, if we win the league under him, would insist on having some United legend hand him the trophy, purely to lay down a marker, as if to say, "I'm here now. This is my time."

Mourinho, FA cup final day....Excited!:drool:

EDIT: Although, I had full faith in LvG

Isn't Nigeria the country that is full of blokes who's rich uncle died and they need help transferring millions to their bank in the US but need us for some unknown reason and will give us 10% for our troubles? That Nigeria?
"We can get you Mourinho, but first we need help to pay for a plane for him."

"Flight ticket's not much."

"No, we need to buy an aeroplane, my uncle has the money, but...."

Same for me.

Was basically 'who does this prick think he is' after his touch line antics at OT. Bit incredulous with 'I'm the special one' and by the end of his first year at Chelsea, I truly believe he'll make a damn fine Utd manager.

There's always a touch of inevitability about us and Joe-say. He's a colossal cock, but he'll be our colossal cock.

I'll always remember the time they beat Barcelona at the bridge, in the CL....At full time, he's there in his big overcoat, swinging his arms in celebration. Even though I hated him, I smiled and laughed :D

And this,

I'd love him forever if he done that, against one of our rivals...Reminds me of the time that tit Owen scored the winner against City and SAF just knew to pump his fists up at the City away supporters :D

I'm sure Fergie and Mourinho are great men away from football but, within football, they are angry, manipulative, two faced and shrewd....And that's what I want from my club's manager

I'd always assumed we'd get him when Fergie eventually retired. Then we got Moyesed... Now I feel like the universe is correcting itself.

:nono: Don't you know Wall Street is closed on Sundays?

If the contract has been signed, all filings and notices would have been submitted to the SEC in advance.

Until the deal is announced, I'm not going to get overly excited. But please let it happen!
