Sky Italia saying Mourinho is 'hours' away from being confirmed as United's new manager. Can someone confirm what I read ?
 
He might sign a deal in a matter of hours but there's zero chance it's announced before the FA cup final.

The matter of hours is just a saying in italian for something that is going to happen soon. Ir does not mean its actually few hours away.

Did Pep signing in January destabilise Bayern from winning the treble?

In fact it will make LVG more motivated as it will most likely be his last game and he'd want to go out by winning a trophy.

I think so too. For a man who has been going on about, "I have won a trophy wherever I have managed", since the very beginning, it'll be added motivation to leave on a high and make his stint with us a mild success (in his eyes). It'll also lift everyone from the players to the fans.

I believe we should do it.
 
It does sort of make sense actually. van Gaal knowing that the next two games will be his last ever games in management will go all out to ensure we win both those games. It's better than being told behind the scenes that he won't be the manager next season.

Though, I doubt I can trust Sky Italia. They always get things wrong.
 
I hope van gaal in his last press conference announces he is retiring after the final. Then the club later on announce they have agreed a deal in principle to sign mou. This way every one gets to save face. Fans clap him off at final league game and cup final. He gets a good sending off. Club can say he wasnt a faliure. players try more for him and give all for 2 games. His family can be flown over to watch the games. Perfect end for him and beginibg for united with mou.

Semi final of the league cup, quarter final in the Champions league, and finished with 64 points in the league. If we beat Bournemouth, we'll finish with 67 points. Really not much of a difference with all that money spent.

I disagree. In fact, I'd say that any news will actually help in making the atmosphere at the last home game bearable for everyone.

On 66 points. If we lose, we'll end up with the current total: 63 points; which will be our lowest points total since the inception of the premier league.

Not sure I trust the source. Don't think we'll hear anything official in some time, yet.
 
It'll be announced after the Cup Final. If the club didn't sack him in December for whatever reason, they won't sack him before the most important match of our season.

I'm thinking that it'll be portrayed as a mutual decision, with LvG saying that he's moving on due to health reasons and such.
 
Cocks in until it's official and I would predict that to be after the final league game or the FA cup final.
