Christ :/ that was a nervy second half.

For the life of me i dont know how that header stayed out. Ruud man of the match, Rio had his best game so far out there. Nicky Butt showed his England form.

That must have been SO tedious for a neutral.
 
6 points, out of 2 games, 4+ goal difference and Ruud is back and Gazza is back and Forlan played 45 minutes.

Great first half, nerve wracking second. Great performance from Ruud, wished he could have stayed on for his hat trick. Butt and Phil though I thought weren't able to dominate the game, and we needed them to do better the second half. Veron did well with being played on the left wing and actually did a great cross to get an assist!

great result !!!

phil nev was a true unsung hero tonight i feel he is in the form of his life in my opinion ... and playing very well i've knocked him in the passed but he is working his way to putting a big piece if egg on my face (i hope, and thats not coz i love egg :confused: )

and MACCABI beat OLYPIACOS <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" /> <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" /> <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" />
 
Good result, excellent first half.

But - the odd superb pass from Seba doesn't make up for all the ones that go astray.

And Forlan as a lone striker when he hasn't scored one goal in open play?????? He doesn't even appear to want to be a striker - he spent more time in midfield and back with the defence, even when we were attacking.

Forlan had no one supporting him because we were so sat back, but I can see that he can lead a counter attack which is good to know. Held the ball up well at times, poor at others.

He's a good player tho I also think those rumours are rubbish.
