Bayer Leverkusen - Manchester United (Official Match thread)

So glad we have won in Germany finally.
The boys showed a lot of spirit to get through a tough second half.
Forlan look likes he's got a bit of pace too.
It was a bit of a thankless task for him tonight. We were under a lot of pressure and struggled to get the ball to him. He had a good shout for a penalty though.
Giggs uses of the ball was poor in the second half. When we're under pressure we need him to really run at the defender when we get the chance. They were throwing everyone forward and you would expect Giggs to be able to feed of that.
Rio was exceleent in the 2nd half, apart from one dodgy moment in the build up to their goal.

But that said Well done lads.
Good performance 6 point from 2 games what more can you ask

Thank god for Ruud, Rio and the post. I'm saying my prayers tonight.

Well done boys. We'll think about the next match tomorrow. For now, sit back and celebrate.

Ok will do :D

A good performance. We struggled in the second tho and was lucky with the header.

Forlan should've got a penalty.

And Ruud truly was amazing. World class.

all I meant was that they did well last night. do I think they'll repeat it against us next week? they've had their day in the sun.

has he ever had a better game for us?

I don't think so. He was all-round on Tuesday. If that doesn't boost his confidence nothing will.

And people who are praising Diego for "running about a lot" should think about the effects of it. Last season he was dead on his feet during games. He needs to confine his runs to something constructive, and leave some of the donkey work to others. A lot of his running is unnecessary which won't benefit the team or himself.
