Shameless Musketeer
He seems to have become a very complete midfielder, he can defend, run with the ball, has vision, good passer, and has a good shot and an eye for a goal.
the german milner
Rumors circulating, I heard this during the Aussie/German game, that Schweinsteiger is upset over the Bayern fans booing him early in the season and is contemplating a move.
I say if he says I want out, we roll out the red carpet.
He was very good yesterday. But there still seems to be something about him that makes me not want him at OT.
Chelsea are meant to be after him and did you notice Lampard immediately going to him after the game yesterday? Smiles on both faces, something's going on.....
Him and Alonso would make for a powerful midfield that would allow the lazies in front of them to play.
Ronaldo et al. are hardly lazy, they just have no interest in tracking back. Sure you could call that lazy but they give 100% in attack and it tends to work well enough. Lazy for me would be if they werent ask to come back and defend corners and free kicks, maybe one day Ronaldo will be that lazy but only god knows.
I think when they lose the ball and just stand with their hands on their hips that constitutes a degree of laziness, I mean if Messi, Rooney and Villa can track back I think Ronnie and Kaka' could give it the old college try.
You think Messi does more in defense than Ronaldo? He never goes higher up than walking speed. Villa doesn't track back either. Don't know why you think that.

I'd rather my most talented players focus on the final third, especially at United where we have a strong counterattack. I hate seeing Rooney chasing all the way back to the corner flag, we have Evra for that
Spanish powerhouse Real Madrid secured the services of Argentinian international Angel di Maria from Benfica earlier this week and the Blancos are apparently desperate to further strengthen their squad in the upcoming days.
Real have been in the market for a new midfielder for quite a while now and the Liga titans are continually being linked with players such as Steven Gerrard and Javi Martinez. However, the Merengues have clearly made Bayern Munich star Bastian Schweinsteiger their primary target on the summer transfer market.
According to a report by ARD, Real Madrid have made a €50 million offer to lure the influential midfielder away from his current club. Bayern Munich have yet to respond to the Spanish offer, but it appears unlikely that they will let go of Schweinsteiger.
The highly rated midfielder's current contract with FC Hollywood runs until the summer of 2012 and Schweinsteiger has developed into one of the absolute star players of Bayern in the past couple of seasons. Schweinsteiger has made well over 200 official appearances for Bayern Munich and has collected 78 caps for Germany's national side. He has been one of the stars of the 2010 World Cup so far.
If Real, or anyone else want him, he's going to be one of the most expensive players in world football. Bayern drive a hard bargain.
Only when the name is Man United

What Villa and Messi etc do is the 5 or 10 second rule.
WHen the team loses the ball the forwards will chase for 10 seconds in order to put pressure on the opposition...
Wha? When? He's a good player but €50M is ridiculous.
Wha? When?
aaahits Real Madrid!

The 50 million was turned down according to that report. So even that wouldnt get him... More than 50 million.
Don't believe that for a moment. 50 million for him isn't going to be denied by anyone.
Yeah it would. Whats in it for Bayern? They sell one of their main players, a German thats also key the national team. And someone who has lots of experience even though he's still a young player. They get lots of money but it would cost just as much to replace him with someone as good - And the players who are as good, or better, arent easily attracted to Bayern Munich. Plus he was a key member of their squad that got to the final of the champions league.
If you're Bayern there's no reason to sell him.
perhaps 50M could persuade them and bring toni kroos back. they van bommel and tymoschuk and that could ease kroos into the side. or perhaps buy ozil for 20-30M and pocket the change.
one thing you learn is never say never.
