He would've been perfect in inglorious basterds. I don't know why tarantino didn't try and get him on set.

Also, who's going to make a song up for him?

I can't wait to see his picture in a United suit at the airport, Darmian and Memphis too.

It's going to be really bloody

You got that right.

I guess this one will turn him on...

But I guess Fussballgott is just enough... :D

But if you make a song - take a melody of something German...

So, I guess this is a good signing now?

Exactly what I was going to say.

There can be absolutely zero complaints about Schweinsteiger for £14m and £140k a week when we sign Schneiderlin as well.

Seeing Bastian wearing an Adidas kit that is not Bayern's is going to take some getting used to...

I've never really understood why some fans are always thinking 3, 4, 5 years down the line. If Schweiny wins us the title next season and then runs out of legs at the start of his second season then isn't that job done ? I'd gladly take that and let him see out his next two years as a squad player. Surely bagging a title is the remit in August so why worry about two three seasons ahead ? Do what we are doing now and cross those bridges when the time arises.

Bastian would top Ramos for me. Bastian is too much.
Apparently we have a 150m budget, we've spent Depay 24m, Darmian 14m, Schweinsteiger 14m, Schneiderlin 25m, so we have 73m left... about EUR 100m, Cristiano?

Yes! :smirk: On a more serious note, I don't really believe this thing with transfer budget. A club like ours will spend what's needed to improve the squad. Even if there was such a constraint, we sold RVP, Nani with Rafael and Evans looking to follow which will definitely have a positive effect on our finances. Then there's also the possibility of selling De Gea if Real Madrid complete it at the price which is being mentioned in the media of 40m euros.

We could end up with a net spend of around 70m having improved all of our key areas in which we lacked and our wage bill would still be less than last season.

Agreed. RvP basically won us the title for £20m, and I don't think anyone would complain about his signing in hindsight.

I think there is certainly some kind of limitation on how much we can spend, but probably not an exact budget (or cap) as such.

Even if Real to pay €40m for De Gea, we'd still need to replace him.

I just hope we get that out of the way as soon as possible. I wouldn't want teams to hold us at ransom for a GK. Plenty of great young goalkeepers to choose from in the market like Leno and Oblak which I'm sure would be interested to come here with the exciting project we currently have. 20 to 25m would do it for any of those 2 I think.

Perhaps our German national team captain will have a word with some of his friends, Leno, Reus?
