Bastian was kept out of the team by a much older Alonso

Not true. If Bastian was fit he also played. Just alongside Alonso which didn't really work out that well. Anyway ask Bayern fans who they'd rather keep and who they think played better last season. Only few would say Alonso

Yes it's quite possible he could get injured a few times but for £14m, you won't find anybody in Europe who could guarantee you the performances he's capable of for at least a couple of years. That's why it's exciting.

Oh don't get me wrong hes a crazy signing for us! Very pleased!

I am not following Jamie Carragher on twitter - but seeing as he joked about Schweini being over the hill - has anyone asked him what he would prefer ? :

a) Milner at £150.000 a week
b) 1 year older Schweinsteiger at £145.000 a week - and transfer fee of £14.5 mill

He doesnt think he is past it really, he was joking. He said so after a while, he just wanted to get a reaction from United fans.

Bluemoon think they have gazumped our Schweini day with the Sterling news.

when does medical usually happen?

Usually - I do not know.
About this: As Ortdepp is already "vor Ort"... - somewhen in the afternoon as the flight from Bastian out of some reasons was delayed. Guess Bastian has to pack some stuff...

Haha @Code-CX notifications must go mad. But his gifs get better every time.

Also the best news was waking up and seeing I didnt have a cruel dream about this happening yesterday :D

Bizarrely both Sky and the Mail reported them as genuine quotes from Carragher last night. That's what journalism has come to currently.

Any chance if this becoming another Falcao?

No. And it will not get a Hargreaves either.

I always thought that he will not end his career at Bayern - but I had him with a transfer every year after the CL win. And I think he did not do it because of the injury streak he was in.

The photo above is good. The All-Star-Match. He got another knock then and that is when they decided to get him out of the football circus for some months to really get the problems out.

That he is making the transfer now for me shows that the old problems are gone - else he would not risk the transfer. Even if he does not get a spring chicken right now. And other injuries can happen to anybody of any age.

Liebe Fans, ich möchte mich bei euch für die unglaublichen gemeinsamen Jahre beim FC Bayern München bedanken!

Dear Fans, after 15 incredible years at FC Bayern, 15 national titles, winning the historical triple and uncountable other highlights that I was fortunate enough to experience with my incredible team, all you exceptional fans and the co-workers at Säbener Straße and Allianz Arena, I have decided to take a new career step. This decision was very hard to make because you and FCB have, are and will always be an extremely important part of my life.

Nevertheless, I would like to again gain experience at a new club. My destination is Manchester United. I hope you understand my decision. No one can take away the incredible journey we had together. ‪#‎MiaSanMia‬

I hope he sorts out his medical today, I don't want to have to wait until tomorrow to see him in a United shirt dammit!

So this is all but confirmed? So far United, Bayern and Schweini has confirmed the transfer?
