Zieler was the closest we had and he just stayed in the reserves all the time. Bastian would be the first first-team German we've ever had.He would be our first german player, or am i missing someone ?

But they could just be jumping on the bandwagon

Ziegler. Didnt play in the first team.Didn't you have a German goalie a few years back?

We can buy him aswell. You're not.
His age and injury problems make this a pretty silly signing imo. It's been four years since he played an injury free season and now he's turning 31 and moving to the most physical league where he won't have a winter break to help him out physically. He also seems to be costing a hell of a lot for an old player in the last year of his contract who Bayern aren't keen on keeping.
Schneiderlin would have been a far better signing.
There's that German keeper, Zeigler is it? He never played a game though I don't think .
*Umpteenth opportunity for someone to go off and Google Ron Robert Zeigler*
Who's Ziegler?Ziegler. Didnt play in the first team.
And they lost Kroos last summer. Two of the best. If not at least 2 of the top 5 midfielders today. This is like Utd selling Scholes at 31, Pep's the best manager in the world but I don't understand this decision.
We had a reserve team GK. He is playing in the Bundesliga now I think and doing quite well.Who's Ziegler?

But I'm sure Bayern would be happy to keep Schwein for another year, unlike United who I would guess are happy to get rid of RVP considering he is on such high wages and produced very little for 2 years in a row now.Well the other end of that is, we just let RvP got for about 5?
Still better than Rooney IMO, but whatever. This is tigers thread. Thou shall not derail...He was (reported) on 220k/week and was one year older than Schweinsteiger. He also had became a bit bad.

And in the process saved 10m in bonus payments.Well the other end of that is, we just let RvP got for about 5?
Aye, fair point there tbh.RVP's supposedly going to be on £240k per week at Galatasary compared to Schweinsteigers £140K, makes a pretty big difference in how much teams will be willing to pay in transfer fees.

We'll call him Schweini.Happy for you guys BUT can we all agree that you should get his name right now.
I know. A long German name but stay with me
Bastian SchweInsteIger
On his last four seasons he has played: 36, 45, 36 and 28 games. An average of 36 matches per season. For comparison, on his last four seasons before his initial retirement, Scholes played 34, 35, 38 and 33 matches or 35 matches on average per season (bear in mind that Schweini averages around 10 matches for Germany, something that Scholes didn't). No-one ever said that Scholes was a player who got injured a lot. You're not.
