Extra innings - come on Yankees!
:nono: that's not funny... the Yankees lost :(
but what the hack..I'll take that, we're still winning 3-1 :D
to remind all the Boosox fans here, NO TEAM has ever come back from a 3-0 deficit :D that includes Boston in 2004 :D
1918! 1918! 1918! 1918!
oh ... tomorrow Pedro will be on the mount! for those going to the ballgame, please, do us a favour, do the 'who's your daddy' chant again

Jeez.. just realised it's 1:40... should tomorrow's game be postponed? :smirk:

Jeff Kent 3 run, walk off homerun, gives Houston a 3-0 win...and a 3-2 series lead. Hmmm...that supposed "best team in baseball St Louis Cardinals" are looking quite vulnerable.

Oh, and Red Sox Nation will be stoic about Schilling pitching Game 6...but how healthy is he and how effective will he be? Yanks in 6.

Houtson's hot!!!
i won't be surprise to see the Yankees taking on the Houston in the WS

Reebok the company gave Shelling a new boot, which may help him in his leg injury.

yankees cant possibly use rivera tonight he played too much in the last 2 games. bo sox will take game 6 tonight, everyone will think "this could be the year" and they will fall flat on their arse in game 7. a-rod will probably drive in the penannt winning run in the bottom of the 9th.

That would be hilarious actually...to see Boston fans once again so close, only to see their team fail...per usual.

That's exactly the way it's supposed to work. Yanks will be better in their home park. Very rainy here today though. I'm boycotting Reebok.

oh my god... what was A. Rod thinking there....:nervous:
oh my god.....it's 3-3....
i hope what happened last year happens again :nervous:
this ain't looking good.... what happened...

Christ marcello cant we agree on anything.. The Cardinals have got no respect all year. They werent supposed to even be in the playoffs they were picked third in the central before the season. We arent dead yet. And its not the yanks in 6 maybe 7 but who knows

Jacqueline my love, Houston was being one hit just like st.louis until Tony Larusa decided to lift Williams who had only thrown 94 pitches. These two teams are very evenly matched (much like the yanks and sox) If Houston would have played like they did the last two months of the season all year the Central division would have had two teams with a 100 wins or more.

Yankees Houston would only be interesting because the rocket probably would pitch game 1 in Yankee stadium

Redsox Houston for the same reason (clemens in Fenway)

For the rest of the universe a cardinal Redsox World Series would be best.

I have yet to meet Christ marcello...

Anyways, my comment was in reaction to Denis "I'm a stupid feck" Leary's comments about neither Boston or New York would celebrate a championship since he said St Louis will win the World Series and "the best team in baseball." This was the ALCS Game 4 pregame intro when talking about down 3-0 to NYY. Strangely, I think we'll hear a different tune from him should Boston beat NY tonight (which they might, but I'm thinking the Yanks will somehow prevail...as always against Boston). We need to root against Boston...otherwise, we only have Cubs fans to listen to as they whine and complain and cry each year. Boston fans are such arrogant little self-righteous pricks they deserve to finish runner-up each year. It's baseball tradition to see them choke every year (like Atlanta).

Actually, it would be good for Boston to win one someday, just that other fans would never hear the end of it (think Liverpool fans and their 18-4 talk). And just hear the talk now "we have won 26 titles, stole Ruth from you, and kept you from WS many times" response "but we came down from 3-0 to beat you" as if that erases a century of failure.

If the Cubs ever win it, the media exposure will linger for 16 years and expect Harry Cary to be risen from the dead.

By the way, what did he do. I heard he did something but I missed it.
I think he swatted at a fielder's glove when running the bases. Did not see it.

Oh yeah I saw a clip of that. Didnt know it was him.

Oh well it looks like Boston have steadied the ship. But they cant win, its not right.

Last chance for the curse to kick in. It has to happen.....doesnt it?

Its all over! Boston has beaten the Yankees! Has the curse been broken?
