Barcelona: Charged with corruption .... again!

Really hope they werent bribing refs in european competitions.

We will see.

Barca was best friends with Villar who was the president of Spanish FA, VP of UEFA, and president of FIFA's referee committee.
Villar is currently being investigated on the "Caso Soule", involving 22M€. Josep Contreras Arjona, a former Barca executive who died recently, was also involved in "Caso Soule"

Şenes Erzik was the deputy chairman of UEFA's Referee Committee and the Chief of Projects of UNICEF while Barca had UNICEF as a shirt sponsor and won in the Stamford Bridge scandal.

Shameful. Puts into question the legitimacy of all FC Barcelona trophies from the past 25+ years.

it’s so unfortunate all the Barca fans have seemingly vanished lately. Would love to see their no doubt incredibly convincing and persuasive counter arguments, the same way they had an incredibly convincing and persuasive defence of their levers.
Fair weather fans. Beaten by us, broker than us, and now provably corrupt. Dumpster fire of a club

The times known as Villarato, when the Spanish FA heavily pampered UEFAlona.

I didn’t knew about Erzik. It won’t surprise me if he was the one behind the Obrevo scandal. That game together with the “Robontada” against PSG are the biggest steals I have ever seen on a football pitch. Just shameful.

The most corrupt club ever. I really hope they collapse and disappear from the face of earth.

Haha, very tasty "exclusiva".
And for you Piqué of course blaming Madrid

"If we start to throw the blanket around with the Champions League and UEFA, Madrid comes out all over the place. During those years we lose a league title against Atleti with one goal disallowed legally.

"If this happens the other way around, in 12 hours nobody knows anything and it disappears."

Obviously he has told a truth like the big Everest, what is really worrying is that people do not see this.

As a supporter from a club that was shanked by a ref against both team in the CL, I say "LET THEM FIGHT"

You are just a fan of a zombified club, though, which only makes you a pitiful figure in this piranha pond.

Maybe, but I won't be the one watching Europa League or Serie B next season because my club cheated its shareholders.

What's that supposed to mean? It's forbidden now to remember and enjoy one of your, if not the best fan moment in football? Should I feel miserable now and delete my memory because Aytekin was a bad ref? Then every third game before VAR loses its value. I will feel good about it my whole life, no matter how many of you want to badmouth it.
So what were you expecting the reaction will be when you posted it in a thread dedicated to Barca's corruption?

Don’t be timid, our kind and graceful hosts are going to be zombified soon as well.

You're in the wrong thread mate. This is the normal barca thread, just with a lovely headline. (Well at least it's more or less normal if you put all trolls on ignore.)
The other one is about the corruption charge.

By the way, Laporta made a clear statement:

One side will look really bad after this. Either Tebas, LaLiga and the prosecutors or Laporta and the club.

It is quite a nothing statement from him. Really curious how this works out for Barca.

Who knows, we should have been accused of corruption to make the comparison. Next they'll be looking for madridistas in the public prosecutor's office.

That picture of Laporta gives me a Trump vibe

You mean your club doesn’t look bad already? Even if the charges are dropped or you get acquitted, it doesn’t mean your innocent. There’s mountains of evidence of wrong doing at least ethically. I don’t know what La Liga rules are on the subject and honestly I don’t care. Sports is about Ethics and your club will never be seen the same way in the wider community.

You know what’s funny? Folks over there at UEFAlona have created a narrative centered around “Humildat y valors” (humbleness and values), selling themselves as an example of morality and ethics, and presenting themselves as a morally superior “Mes que un club”.

Bunch of hypocrites! I’m really enjoying their fall down. I always knew they were a cheating and untrustworthy institution.

So what do you think must happen for Laporta and the club not to look bad?

Because I remind you, Barcelona said in an official statement all that money was used to pay videos of players and professional refereeing.

Will they show those i.e. professional refereeing reports that people like Tata Martino, Valverde, Guardiola or Cesc (to name a few) never saw?

And if they show them, will they be able to justify the prices?

Can you imagine such scenario?

By the way, Laporta made a clear statement:

Saying Laporta "made a clear statement" feels like an extremely generous read of the situation.

This scandal broke out a month ago and he's given no useful information, no explanations, no evidence, nothing. It is baffling and bizarre.

Well if Laporta says it like that, I expect from him some kind of proof of course. A thorough explanation for which exact services the money was payed, supported by documents and testimony of involved people.
That some coaches never saw the reports are not that unusual as you may think. Valverde said his team also gets them in Bilbao and usually he doesn't look at them, because it takes too much time and he leaves it for one of his coaching stuff members.
And to justify the prices. Well, everyone knows barca were always big spenders before Covid. Especially under Bartomeu. It wouldn't surprise me if Bartomeu just payed whatever people asked of him. He also gave every player the contract their agents demanded. That's why the club has money issues in the first place and carry dead weight players.

In less than two weeks, the outsourced investigation will be finished and Laporta will hold a press conference. Then we will see, if he has actual proof or not.

Why does it take months to find some videos and reports in a filing cabinet, USB drive, or old hard drive?

Years, even. The club tried to claim this as a tax deduction and could not provide the proof, way back in 2019/2020.

@Ragnar123

So it would be something like, "hey guys, calm down, here you are the videos. We know we paid way above the market, but we were big spenders, so everything is OK. The fact we paid the vicepresident of the referees is just a coincidence, and that we ceased paying him the same moment he stopped being the vicepresident of the CTA another coincidence. Tebas you were just ridiculized, it's time for an apology"

The fact that we paid the vicepresident through an intermediary who works for the club and who got commissions worth hundreds of thousands of euros for doing so is just a coincidence.

I would very much like you and every other Barcelona cultist on here to just stop and think about this.

what did you pay him for?
why did you pay him?
what could this man have provided you that was within the law, rules of the league and sporting ethics?
why did you go to him and not another “expert” given his position of influence?
And finally
why were payments undisclosed to an account registered to said person?

There is no reality where this is standard practice and any sane person must conclude there is probable cause of guilt due to the manner in which the whole thing was conducted.

If you fail to come to this logical conclusion then you are either too far indoctrinated into a cult or you’re clinically insane.

Cut them some slack. They have to record them first and make them look older. That takes some time.
My theory used to be that the videos and reports did exist but were extremely low quality. Just the bare minimum where you can claim "the work exists."

Trump also made a very clear statement about the election being stolen. Did that make it true?

By the way, Laporta made a clear statement:
He also said that they considered Griezmann sale final and are ready to prove that in court and that they are ready to prove de Jong's contract is fraudulent, if he doesn't agree a new one with a lower salary. Surely those will happen any day now as well.

Trump also made a very clear statement about the election being stolen. Did that make it true?

Because Trump didn't make it true, no one else can on any issue or what are you trying to tell me?

Now the same court that allowed Gavi's registration, annuls it again because the paperwork was apparently one day too late. And they found that out 2 months later after he played 10 games already? Of course the clasico week has nothing to do with it  . Now he has to play with the 30 shirt again until summer and then if barca can't register him, he becomes a free agent technically. But this boy loves barca with all his heart, so I don't fear him leaving in summer, no matter what.
Not one normal day since Tebas went to war against our club because his pathetic ego doesn't allow him to stay neutral. Such a disgusting shitshow from everyone involved.

This all story about Negreira is stupid. How could he fix games if he wasn't in charge of anything relating to the games themselves?

According to this information, the paperwork was 2 days late. It says courts normally are permissive and allow 1 more day after the deadline. It turns out Barcelona were 1 day late after that day, so it is 2 days :D

Everyone is against you I know, but doing things right will maybe help next time

There is no doubt about that, but after 2 months they remembered the deadline suddenly? Come on, this is just ridiculous from start to finish. And don't forget that all this happened in the first place, because Tebas's LaLiga changed its registration rules midseason unprecedentedly shortly after barca announced Gavi's renewal and which affected only Gavi's registration of all LaLiga players. It is a clear and personal agenda from Tebas, nothing else.

It looks like a cock up by Barcelona's lawyers, nothing else.

Maybe he has an agenda against shit, inept, corrupt leadership bankrupting clubs? Stop twisting the rules into knots to throw money you dont have at players and maybe he'll leave you be? You've got a boy who cried wold situation where if someone did have an unreasonable agenda against you people will just dismiss it. Too many silly accusations against too many people from lying, deceitful shitbags like laporta.
